Anyone watching the derby today. This one horse hansen is white and his owner wanted him to have a blue tail...he reminded me of the g4s
 
I watched it! Very exciting win, Bodimeister or however you spell it, looked like he was going to win it, keeping the lead the whole time but then I'll Have Another charged forward for the win. I would LOVE to go to the derby one day. Gonna have to make myself a big hat :)
 
I saw it. Great race! I was thinking of making a MLP hat, but I didn't have enough time. I was just going to wear it at home.
 
I'll Have Another is such a beautiful horse, and it's so good that he's only started 3 times this year before the Derby.

Hm, I wonder what symbol Hansen should have painted on his rump. LOL That would be fun seeing MLP in the Kentucky Derby.

As for the winner - I'm always excited when a horse that isn't the favorite or talked about much come out and win the race. I love rooting for "underdogs" (even though I'll Have Another wasn't completely ignored). What a race! As much as I liked I'll Have Another's run, I expect Bodemeister to make a real comeback in the Preakness.

The derby was great this year, so much talent! Poor Bodemeister used it up to quick, and Hansen got himself all worked up before the race even started! The one thing I love about racing, there are so many factors at play!
 
:icon_smile_lachuh: That Lickety-Split article is great! Thanks for sharing. Hmm, if MLP did their own Kentucky Derby, I wonder who would win. My bet would be on Whizzer. Of course, pegasi would have to remain on the ground (only fair).
