Equuscallabus commissioned me waaaay back in October to make her a pony based on the Henri Rousseau painting "The Sleeping Gypsy".
I used 12 different colors in her hair (a new record for me! lol), all from Dollyhair in nylon. (props to Velaria ), in an effort to try and mimic the dress the gypsy is wearing. I chose to split the lion and gypsy between the two sides, because the DS already had so much going on with the vase, guitar (which I had to kinda finagle down the leg to keep it from wrapping around it, lol), pillow, and gypsy. The moon is very striking in the painting, and thus I wanted to both keep it on the right side of the painting, but also elevate it in the sky. That made it the perfect pairing for the lion on her NDS.
Alright, already, enough about my choices and colors. Here's the pics:
ETA: She is now in collage form as my very first deviant art pic!
