Hi all! So blind bags finally come out in the more rural parts of queensland. I picked up a Sweetie Drops (looked up the codes on StrawberryReef.com and picked out the only one lol, thanks heaps to Strawberry Reef! :satisfied:).

But the thing is, the only wave is this newest one, I've completely missed out on every previous wave and I think that's really odd. Anyone else have this? It's a little disappointing in a way, though I'm not that big on blind bags and only really like a few of them.

But yeah, any other countries/states have this?

I should get a Lyra for my Sweetie Drops (Bon Bon)!
 
Yeah I know the feeling. I only ever saw waves 5 and 7. Wave 7 is the only wave I've seen outside of TRU, and there's only one TRU in QLD. I take it you're finding them in Target? I didn't think target country would stock them, they usually don't stock anything any good, lol!
 
I kinda know where you're comming from.

I was on a break from ponycollecting when the G4 line appeared and I completely missed out on the first 3 waves. Fortunatly I've managed to scrape together the first and third wave but still looking high and low to finish the 2nd wave. They seem to have been sold here as I keep finding Swedish sellers with wave 2 ponies, but I personaly missed out on them completely :<

Now though it seems like it's just one big mix here lol. Our supermarket Coop Forum carried the 4th wave and then the 5th wave and I managed to pick those all up. But now they're still stuck on wave 5.
In another supermarket called Ica Maxi I found wave 1, 3 and 6. However I have no interest in wave 6 so I'm still waiting for wave 7 to hit.
Our TRU didn't carry blind bags for the longest time, but around christmas they finally got them and it was wave 5 and that's all they ever had >.<

Needless to say I'm running around like a headless chicken trying to figure out what to find where and so forth XD It would be so much easier if all stores could just keep up :p
 
America got skipped over for wave 2, which you were only able to get in Europe. Waves 3 and 4 came out at the same time, so it was really hard to find 3s. Now 5/6/7 are out at the same time, so it's super hard to find specific waves. They really should have been staggered more in every country.

I have a big list of all the blind bag ponies on my own site, and people really love it, as Blind Bags are really easy to pick up and are pretty cheap. Personally, I'm only aiming for one or two figures per wave that I really want, while I'm aiming for the miniature collections more.
 
As far as my problem goes, I was able to pick up a few of wave 1, but at the time I didn't care about collecting those. I just wanted to try my hand at small customizations.

That was just this past summer. Now, nearly a year later I'm into collecting my favorites (which tend to be mostly in the purple and blue color scheme) and we're already up to wave 7, yet every store in my area is still selling wave 4! Yikes, so far behind. Methinks that local retailers here overstocked on the sparkly ponies because they were. . . more marketable?

Eh, whatever, buying online tends to get pricey, so I'll just just have to bide my time to patiently search 'em out. . .

I got the first wave about a year before they hit the USA, Bought them from someone in...Sweden? After they got here I was a little mad cause I really thought I was getting something exclusive!!! But I looked through them and there are varaitions...and not just lily blossom and glittery TS...Ones like Fluttershy and applejack and a few others!!!

I think wave 1 hit my town about when everyone was getting wave 5....then skipped to wave 4...and now wave 7....Yea, I wish it didn't skip around like that...how can one feel fulfilled collecting them when they don't even show up in your area!!! I Think what just bugs me the most is how come Europe gets all the exclusives? They get their own wave 2 of BB's, then Exclusive Brushables...Sorry, starting to rant...but I feel you!!!

Going of topic here but to be fair there's been ALOT of Target exclusives that never shows up here. Some strangely do but far from all of them. Lord knows how many ponies I've had to import because of that >.<
So I think it's fairly even in that aspect :p

I would Trade a Skywishes or Star Swirl for a Zecora anyday.
 
The only places that sell ponies, let alone blind bags, near me move product very, very slow. I've only seen Wave 1 and Wave 4 at Kmart, and an empty Wave 3 box at TRU (I asked if they had more in the back... nope). There's no Target or Walmart nearby, and Hot Topic has Wave 5 but is way overpriced. I basically gave up trying to get everything; I'm just going to look for specific ponies I want at this point.
