According to the post I found the yellow one glows in the dark
These are the fakies that keep on giving

EDIT: I found one for sale, the seller says the hoof is stamped "1984 Soma" From what I can gather, Soma is a Hong Kong based toy company

EDITEDIT: The made a fake Edgar too!

Apparently someone on the Arena has a white one as well.

For some reason this giraffe looks incredibly familiar, I think I may have had or seen her when I was little

That actually looks like another giraffe. Cute, though!

Oh man, they are all too cute! I love the fakie Okapi (or what ever it is), check out the hair line on that one! In fact, I think I have a sudo-Edgar around here somewhere...... *goes to hunt pony bins*

I had a fake Edgar but, he ended up molding so bad and I couldn't save him. Fakies are fun! Boy I would love to have the fakie Lamb though. Thats a really nice little toy there. I am a lamb freak though.

What was the quality of his plastic like? Was it like, standard G1, Kinda cheap G4 or bargain bin dollar store quality?

I would say if I can remember that it was a nice quality actually. You could push the plastic in a little so it wasn't a hard plastic just a tad softer. More like G1 vinyl than G4. Better than dollar store. Oh and I swear I think mine was flocked as well. I think mine was an 80's fakie though.

Plastic quality on fakies seem to vary and the cause seems to be if it's made by a legit company like Remco (they made cheap knock off toys such as GI-JOE knockoffs and the Remco ponies we know) and then on the other boat I have a Lanard pony which I literally feel as if I were to twist her body too hard, she would peel like an orange but Lanard is like, a legit company (that make cheap toys, but still)

I had those sitting Lanard ponies and they were made pretty well. I guess it depends on the mold huh?

I had one of those blue fakie giraffes that I sold at the fair a few years ago. I was calling him Creamsicle's dad - they're quite a bit taller than Creamsicle.

Also, the plastic was higher end fakie plastic, but the hair was quite cheap and dry.

Lanard also made fakie pony friends, including a giraffe.

Fakie hair is always bad, I suppose so they can put all the money in plastic

EDIT: lol we should just change the name of this thread to "They Made Fake Pony Friends" because that's what it's turned into.
Also if anyone sees any of these fakies for sale here or elsewhere online, please let me know. I'm super interested in those giraffes

If I could just take them all, that would be great *3*
