I ran into this getting-to-know-you game a long time ago and it was fun. Post a pic of 3 fictional characters you identify with! Mine are:

three characters I identify with.JPG

Lisa Simpson: Un-sporty, eco-conscious, nerdy, strong sense of self, more progressive than the community she's raised in
Toriel (Undertale): Friend-mom, empathetic, protective, instructive, hates to offend, loves pie
Crow T. Robot (Mystery Science Theater): Esoteric, slightly twisted, rascally, cynical, enjoys riffing on things

What are yours? :lolpony:

This is impressive! Could you pick 3 and tell us how you relate? :D
Totally! I was at on my phone earlier but now I'm on my computer and can actually type. The choice is hard though...let's go with:
Dipper from Gravity Falls - passionate interests, slightly unhinged energy, loves mysteries, awkward
Reagan Ridley from inside job - even more unhinged energy, bad at socializing, tries very hard
Shaggy from Scooby Doo Mystery Inc - just wants to hang out with his friends, eat good food, and play D&D (+ loves dogs)
Bonus: I put Blueberry Muffin from the 2003 Strawberry shortcake because I look very much like her in real life and my fav color is blue

Fun idea! I tried to narrow it down to 3 but it ended up being 4, oops.

- Raph from Rise of the TMNT: Dutiful, protective, thrust into overwhelming responsibilities, extremely anxious.
- Ursula from Kiki's Delivery Service: Independent, creative, antisocial, values simplicity
- Yolei from Digimon 02: Finds her own style sense despite her nerdyness.
- Chris from Dan VS: Low ambition, generally nice, easily manipulated by more assertive people, just wants to eat something and chill

These are probably my 3 moods;

Lisa Simpson
Oscar the Grouch
Mrs Claus
LOL! I feel I understand you.

These are great! I also want to just hang out and eat something and chill, generally. XD

I hope more people will jump in here! I love these "trading card" kinds of personality descriptions.

I’ll have to think about it and come back :) cool idea though

Ive thought about this, and i think I have some! I may think of more haha.

So, no. 1 is Finrod Felagund from Tolkien's Silmarillion. He is my favorite fictional character in the entire world. I know very few people are gonna know who he is, but thats okay! Hes such a pure faithful soul. As he is called " Finrod the Faithful" by some. He has such faith in things working out and such WONDER for the world.

Okay so crash course into who he is. He is Galadriel's oldest brother, he is known for exploring the world, just dissapearing into the wilderness caught up in the wonderful things around him. He is also the first elf to discover Humans in his travels to explore. He loves cultures and learning so much he just up and lives with them for months without telling anyone where he was lol.

For those who dont know, the elves of the first age went through complete utter crap. A handful survived into the 2nd age, and then into the 3rd which is when the events of Lord of the Rings happens. Finrod held such faith during this time, even when all is lost. Even when evil (Sauron) insisted on enduring, he refused and died killing one of Saurons werewolves, weaponless, and just killed the werewolf with his bare hands and teeth. Literally the coolest elf ever!! And yes werewolves exist in tolkien lol its wild.

I just feel so closely connected to him. For one, when parted from his true love, he never married anyone else bc he wanted to marry her after he was reborn after dying. My demisexual soul feels that lol. Two, I want so much out of the world, i wanna learn everything, be friends with everyone, see other countries, draw pictures of the plants and animals i find. Three, i hold such faith in things being better. Four, i would 100% jump a werewolf to protect a friend! I would list more but id be typing for days. Ill spare yall my tolkien book of thoughts lol.

No.2. A mix of Ariel from the little mermaid and Tiana haha if thats not cheating. Ariel wants so much more out of life. Contrary to some belief, she wanted to explore the human world long before she met Eric. :rofl:Tiana has big dreams, wants to make her parents proud, just is working so hard. Wishing on stars.

No.3. I hope this also isnt cheating. But I relate soooo hard to the mother in The Sixth Sense. Honestly the whole relationship between Toni Colettes character as the mother and Haley Joel Osments character as her son Cole.
Now, obviously i dont see dead people LOL, but ever since I was a child their relationship has just been sooo special to me.
Not sure if some of you remember but in the movie, Lynn i think the moms name is, is a single mother trying really hard, her mother has died, shes taking care of her son alone. Theres a scene towards the end where Cole tells her he spoke with grandma, and that she had moved her bumblebee brooch around, and had said that Lynn made her proud every day. That scene gets me sooooo bad every time.
For context. I grew up with my mom being a single mom, and my grandma who lived with us was in and out of the hospital. I will put the rest under a hidden part for anyone who doesnt wanna read sad things.
My Gran had cancer many times, 5 times to be exact. The last time, due to an error a doctor did cutting the cancer and leaving it, it became terminal. We would go to the hospital often, id play with toys in the hospital rooms bc it came normal. She passed away when I was around 5, I remember waiting in the funeral home with my mom whilst she arranged things and the funeral vividly. Right down to the type of gum I was chewing. Which they dont make anymore. I remember after she passed we just felt her there, wed be sitting outside tending to my Grans garden and suddenly her favorite song pop in our heads. It just felt like she was there, it still does sometimes.
I remember when I first watched The Sixth Sense with my mom when it came out in 1999. I was maybe 8 then? I just remember watching it and having this realization of... Thats us. Minus the whole seeing dead people part lol. It was us. It just gave me such a warm feeling of comfort and recognition, like I had been seen. We werent the only ones. Its odd i guess to say something that sad made/makes me so happy. I guess bc representation feels good and its found in all sorts of places. I think it helped me feel better, validated. I'll honestly cherish that movie for the rest of my life <3

Aww, Strawberry, thanks for sharing all this! I'm glad that movie made you feel seen after a loss.
I've never read the Silmarillion, just some summaries sometimes, but I'll always love the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Hobbit. My grandpa used to read them to my brother and me when we were kids on into our teens. Every time we would come visit, we'd do our "Hobbit habit" and sit and do crafts or play quietly while he read. Grandpa thought Silmarillion was too dry or we would have read that too.

Thanks <3 I hope it wasnt a downer, its just the characters that came to mind. :3

LOL i can understand why he felt that way since the storytelling is different in the Silm and a lil more mature haha. That sounds very special <3 Im glad you could have those special moments!! :D The Silm is more like, telling how the world was created, and the events that got it to the hobbit and LOTR. Even more books like the unfinished tales or fall of Gondolin tell in more detail some of the events that werent given more time in the Silm. You can always PM me if you wanna talk tolkien someday! :lolpony:

No, not a downer! It's part of where you came from! And I like hearing why people relate to their character choices.

Haha, thanks! The last thing I looked up was more info about Elrond. I was also surprised to learn that Arwen is Galadriel's granddaughter! I was thinking about Arwen's character a lot lately because I've been entertaining ideas about cosplaying her. (But I have a lot of projects to cross off my list first.)

Yeaaa X_X Elrond has been through it. All the older Elves from the first age have but ESPECIALLY Elrond. I dont even think I can say it all on here lol its a lot. Defo tho :D Arwen is Galadriels granddaughter, thats why in the LOTR extended edition Aragorn talks so closely to Galadriel about Arwen, its been a looooong while since I read the books but she gives him her daughter Celebrians jewel, aka Arwens mothers jewel as a gift for similar reasons if im remembering correctly? I cant remember the dialog. All the connections make the Hobbit and LOTR so much richer.

Fun fact! The ring of Barahir, the ring Aragorn wears as a symbol of his house (also shown in the extended editions i believe? Saruman mentions it, the ring with snakes on it). Its actually Galadriel's brother (and my BOYYYY) Finrod's ring!! :D Finrod was rescued once by Barahir in the first age so he gave the ring to him as a symbol of friendship. It was passed down through Barahirs line ever since, and now it is Aragorns. So its sweet yet heart breaking that Galadriel would see her brothers ring again when ever she sees Aragorn. The connections mann!! Theyre so goooddd!!!

Ooooo an Arwen cosplay sounds AMAZING!! :O If you needed a suggestion I have some silicone elf ears I got from Aradani Costumes, they were only 12 bucks and really nice!! The price may have changed a bit its been a while. Arwen is soo pretttyyy.I bet youll look amazing!!! <3

Alrighty 3 fictional characters you identify with:

1.) Applejack (Both G1 and G4) but especially G4 because of her farming and hard working aspect. I have a farm and some Apple trees too.

2.) Amalthea from The Last Unicorn, the journey to find her kind/herd and her famous line, “I can feel this body dying all around me.”
