During my move I re-discovered a bag of fleamarket-bought baity ponies that were clearly purchased with the intent to restore them as best as I could and well it's been a while since I did any vintage pony restoration and I'm wondering what kind of attitude people have towards re-haired ponies these days? From what I can remember from waaaay back when I used to do this before, it was a complete toss-up whether people found it acceptable or completely unacceptable
The two ponies I've been working on currently are the Nurse ponies Nurse Tenderheart and Nurse Sweetheart.
Some young barber has given Sweetheart a more sporty hairdo before she came to me, and while the mane and tail are otherwise very neat and in good shape its...well. Oh dear.
Tenderheart is sadly frizzed to the extreme. The picture here is after I've heat-treated, conditioner-brushed and de-tangled and washed and re-shaped her mane and tail. So while hers are the original correct length still, they wont get any more silky looking than this
I am looking to re-home them eventually so that's why I am looking for some opinions regarding the possible re-hairing! Thanks for any replies!
