Then the downside.... Goodwill here is a bunch of vintage toy ruiners!! :eevil: Look how they price at my local store.....

*cries cries cries* :-( I'm so sick of it! I let the cashiers know that sharpie destroys vintage plastic items (they didnt seem to care this time). And I took one of the blue complaint cards to fill out. *sigh* I hope this ends before more are ruined.

*sigh* There's several thrift stores here that use marker too. I just DON'T GET IT!!! People can be SO dumb. But congrats on your finds. They are still fabulous.

They are great finds!!!

Think about it this way. At least they are writing the price on the bottom of the feet. I had one store that wrote it OVER THE SYMBOL. More than one pony. It was awful.

I feel your pain, our local Salvation Army staples price tags to clothes. Sometimes they staple it to the tag, but most of the time it's right on the shirt. It is nearly impossible to remove them without leaving a hole.

That's so annoying. Some people are so stupid. Congrats though. That is quite a find. My Good Will doesn't have toys :( but I went to another Good Will and found a fakie. They just put multiple price tags in the hair. Also got a CP fakie at st. vincents. The only mlp I found was an old mcdonalds toy at a thrift shop. I have yet to find a real (non mcdonalds toy) MLP. So jealous :)

Awesome! I didn't know GW even put out vinyl toys, anymore. The one near me won't because of all that lead in toy law nonsense or whatever!

But like Baby Nightmare said, they sometimes write in plain view so under the foot isn't so bad! I don't think that really decreases the value or ruins the pony.

Awww! Wicked nice! Right-on! Look what yah got, ooohh!

The Goodwill's by me just round up all the "popular" toys and auction them on Ebay in large lots for a big lump sum of money. I still check them just in case, but to this day, have never seen a pony in a Goodwill store.

It's a pain there marked, but great finds no the less

WOW! Is that why they haven't been in my store for a couple of years? I used to find a few here and there, and recently there have been NONE. That stinks. :(

congrats! I find g3 ponies quite often at my goodwill and the occasional g1. Then the next town over NEVER has ponies but I always find cheap nes games/movies/ awesome clothes. :D
All the goodwills in my area put up signs saying they are not responsible for poisoning. :p so they dodge the new law that way

hurray for the marker not being anywhere you can see it lol! great finds! why would people who "sell junk, for minimum wage" care? LOL

Thanks everyone! My bf did an awesome job trying to get the sharpie off. The SS looks terrific!! I'll take a pic when the camera batteries are charged.

Wow. I wish I could find any ponies at my local goodwill. I pretty much gave up. lol. Congrats on your gals....they are gorgeous even with the marker. Perhaps you can sun fade the ones that aren't SS.
