Totally not an April Fools stunt

You can just look at pictures without reading text. That brings much less angryness^^

Equestria Daily has posted an apology:

A Note on Older Gen Ponies

It seems we angered the older gen people a bit with our April Fools gag, and we do apologize for that! It wasn't our intention to insult any of you.

There were also a pretty large amount of negative comments about the older ponies. I admit, I was also to blame for some of them (Celestia/Twilight weight jokes for example). I ask that the actual g4 bronies who took part in the harassment please cut it back now that the event is over. The older gen folks were here first, and have hundreds of talented artists in their ranks. Bombing their Deviant Art pages and forums is just straight up uncool.

Maybe in the future, all the corners of pony fandom can work on meet each other halfway, at least a little bit.

Was I dreaming,or there were separate threads about it here and on arena that was deleted instantly?
If yes-why?

I don't know what you're talking about, Mefista. There was a thread started here by Avaind which I merged with this one yesterday, but no others to my knowledge.

............

Yes, there were two separate threads started on the same subject here. I remember reading them both. They were merged.
MustBeJewel explained this on the second page of this thread.

Ok.Maybe,I dreamed it up)But one on Arena definitely got deleted

That was nice of them to issue a formal apology. :) It was cool to see some older stuff on EQD, but I wish they hadn't focused so much on g3.5. I'm glad to see that for the most part we are being the better group of people by taking it in stride and not trying to stoop to their level. I know this phrase gets bandied about a lot and misused, and so I mean no offense when I say that this board and the community within it truly embodies the virtues of love and tolerance.
