Tropical Ice for thebeth

Some of you may remember the fiasco with DPP and her "4 for $20" custom sale.
A lot of people were left with no money and no ponies.

Pikabubba did an excellent job organizing volunteers to help make up for DPP's lack of follow through. When I contacted her about helping she asked me to PM thebeth. After several PMs thebeth decided she wanted a custom of her persona pony "Tropical Ice."

I had recently purchased a lot of 6 G3 Fun Fairy's and decided that she would make the perfect bait. Originally her gradients were gold with darker blue but the transition between colors turned out very green and didn't look right. I later went back and added a little white to the blue in order to increase the opacity and minimize the green.

The symbol was a bit more complex than I had originally thought and was a real challenge. Once I had the flowers and swirls done I put off painting the hockey logos for over month. I finally worked up my courage and decided not to let them intimidate me. They are not exact but I'm very happy with how they turned out.

She was rehaired with Bobby Blue and Mango Tango donated by the lovely Pikabubba.
Also, funds for shipping were donated by the wonderful Hodgemo.

Thebeth seems to be very happy with her which makes me happy.

she is just so stunning!! i think you did anamazing job recreating her persona. that symbol is complicated and all i've ever done with it was digital work so i already had the image but still! i think you got it down perfectly. and the colors are just s o lovely and vibrant. wonderful job ^^

She's so gorgeous, I could not put her down when I got her! I'm also sorry those gradients are tough and turn green in the middle But seriously, she's perfect and I'm so happy to have her and so lucky I got to have a Pop custom!
