Hi there,

Does anyone know the best way to remove the turnable (ie. latest G3) heads? I don't think there's any glue in them.

I've followed the prescribed yank-harder-then-you-think-you-need-to method I read on MLParena, but the G3 started to warp at the neck under the pressure. So I decided not to use even more force and abandoned my attempts. But the one I tested on now has a bit of a wonky neck with a gap in some parts. Does this happen to alot of people?

I don't want to boil/heat one unless neccessary.

Should I be holding it differently when I pull? And what about angle of exertion etc? The warping is a pain! :(

Related question: Where can I find plastic tail rings? Want to replace some of the metal G3 ones.

Thanks in advance :D

Hi there.

Thanks for the tips. But If I can't get the head off, would it be dangerous to wash a G3? IE: mould building up inside the head? I just don't want to ruin a pony in the process of removing a head. And then you've got to get the thing back on :D

Cheers!

Its just pvc it will reshapen back to form. And its a G3, Its not like its going to rip apart. Kids take heads off of toys all the time.. Just pull it off.

Haven't had to try this myself.
Have you got a Bf my sweets? Just get him to rip it off, as hard as he can!! lol

I was thinking about this too myself recently...I'll keep an eye out for the final solution, out of pure curiosity >.>

ginaiam: It doesn't quite reshapen completely on my "test subject"* :), but yeah, I wouldn't try any tests on any G3 that was prized. Additionally, I don't think Hasbro ever intended for kids to pull off G3 heads, which is probably why they are locked on so tight lol.

As for other replies, thank you for writing. I will continue to figure out the best way and will post here if I hopefully find one.
