Ugly ponies

To me there's no such animal. I love all Ponies, even beat up, markered up, bald Ponies. I know some people might argue that a certain Pony is an ugly colour combination but it's all in the eye of the beholder.

The page author obviously hates BBEs, which seems popular to do (me, I love 'em! Can't have enough of their adorable little creepy eyed selves lurking about, waiting to ponce!) and also G2s, but I admit I'm puzzled why anyone could not like green Ponies. Heck, I want MORE green Ponies!

I guess it just comes down to the fact I'm a Pny ho and never met a four legged critter I didn't like! :LOL:
 
About the only one I agree with on that list is BBE Frosting. But NOT because she's BBE. Because that pose never stands up (Baby Gusty and Ribbon, I'm looking at you!), the hair always sticks straight up and won't lay nicely to either side no matter how many times I get it wet and dry to fasten it there. Frosting herself is kind of a puke-y green but it is a nice color with the white hair.

I also love BBE. I had 4 or 5 as a child so they have never struck me as weird or ugly- just normal ponies!

And the yellow hair-do pony with orange hair looks much prettier in person!
 
The only nice thing I can say is that I don't agree with any of it.
 
I sort of agree with Beautiful Bows. But seriously, Tootsie? Tootsie's gorgeous! :cry2:
 
LOL, I would call that a "personal vent page". I like all the ponies on there, personally. If s/he has them and hates them so much, I'll take em. LOL
 
I like the UK Beautiful Bows, Rock'n Beat Sweet Notes, the itty bitty teeny tabby (D'aw)

but the bride with the fake lashes always makes me lawl. XD

I think that sort of thing is always about "beauty in the eye of the beholder", I could go through my collection and pick out poses I think are a bit on the bulky side and be like "wtf were they thinking???"

but meh

I completely agree! I am confused at why the Perfume Puff was on the list. She didn't even give a reason why.

There are ponies I don't like, but I don't feel the need to broadcast it to the world, let alone make a page to ridicule the poor things. I also never know if my opinion of a pony is going to change. For a while, I could not stand G3s, especially that donkey pose. Then I got a pony with the pose because I loved her colour. Now I think its adorable.
 
Not that I would call it "ugly" per se but I really dislike the G3 ponies in the diva pose. I just think that pose and expression makes the ponies look like they have bad personalities. Then again, as a child I always preferred the Barbie dolls who had smiles with the teeth showing versus the close-mouth Barbies for the same reason.

The first time I saw the G4 ponies I really disliked the design but it quickly grew on me.
 
This person is obviously just one of those idiots who thinks their petty, closed-minded opinion is so important that they have to let everyone else know it. Probably also the type of person to lash out at anyone who disagrees with them. This feels purely like a case of pony bashing to me.

There are definitely ponies that I don't like but many other people love. In some cases there are more people who share my feelings (like with BBEs and G3.5) and in others I think I probably stand alone in my dislike (sea ponies, flutters/windywings, sparkle ponies etc). And there are ponies I love that a lot of people hate. I personally adore G2s, and I have come to like G4 enough to avidly collect them. I may try to persuade others to see what I like about my favourite things, but I never force my opinions on them, and I never openly disagree with their liking what I don't, or insult the things they like. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes when it comes to ponies, just like with everything else. It's entirely about personal preference.
 
Wow, that is actually my page and it was meant to be a joke and taken lightly. ;) I also made it about 15 years ago, so I would hope people wouldn't judge me by things I said when I was much younger. lol! I don't even share the same opinions anymore and had actually completely forgotten about that page. XD

LOL, sorry Teddy! Didn't mean it personally, just the way it came across by the tone of the writing! I know the feeling, though, we do the strangest things when we're young and don't even think about it. Then when we get older, we look back and cringe... I can't even stand looking at the stuff I wrote when I was a teenager. It actually makes me feel physically ill. I hate the person I was back then, and I'm nothing like that anymore. Time changes everything!

No worries! I cringe every time I visit my own pony site, or read any of my fanfics from back then. >.< Something happens to our brains when we're teenagers, but luckily they don't stay that way for long. ;) (No offense to any teens out there! That's just a general observation I have made and it certainly does not apply to everyone. Possibly only to me! lol!)

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Cliche as it is, it's still very true. I love the G2s and they're victims of constant hatred, but I also dislike G2s and they're adored by most of the collectors nowadays. It's all up to personal preference.

UK Beautiful Bows-well I'm not crazy about the color scheme myself, but she's not bad

BBE Frosting and Sundance-I don't like BBE ponies, simply because those blinking doll eyes creep me out no matter what they're on, but I think Frosting would be very cute if her eyes were normal and I've always like Sundance

Royal Pink Princess-she needs to have that marker gotten rid of and she'd be quite pretty

Tootsie are Mimic-why is Tootsie on here? She's so cute! I'm not crazy about Mimic though

Rockin Beat Pony Sweet Notes-she's cute

Perfume Puff Daisy Sweet-they don't appeal to me personally but, if she were a reg she'd be lovely

I like the unnamed pony with the stars n ribbons-what's wrong with her?

Teeny Tiny Tabby-it's ok

Giraffe necked pony-.... -_-

Sweetie Lollipop-not my first choice for a color scheme since I personally don't like orange or bright yellow, but otherwise fine.

Honestly I have a weak spot for the 'ugly' ponies. The ponies people don't enjoy too much 'cause their pose/colour isn't very nice. And honestly Cherries Jubilee is one of those, and that is how I started collecting her.

I bought a lot of cheap ponies on ebay and one of those ponies where a CJ. I washed them in the tub and let them dry off for a few days on the floor. Everytime I went in to the bathroom I kinda looked at her and thought 'What did they think when they made that pony? She's.... Ugh'.

So as the days passed I started feeling guilty. I felt worse and worse and I decided I'd buy another CJ to keep her company so I'd have two of these salmon fleshy ponies, and I'd pack them in the box and forget about it.

Then I got another... And another... And now I have around 100 CJ's and soooo much Cj merch.... XD Oops...
