unusual custom request

my supervisor at work just informed me that because of the company's recent merger, we have to remove non-company materials from the tops of our cubes, and excessive non-work materials from inside our cubes. which, for me and a friend of mine, means thinning out the number of ponies on our desks. and since we only took doubles to work, we're gonna have a WHOLE honkin' lot of extra ponies lying around. and much as i like making customs, i am somewhat limited in my abilities.

what i think would be fun is sending my baits to one or more customizers who can rehair, and maybe have skeins of hair lying around that are likely to go unused otherwise - unpopular colors, leftover strands, whatever. you guys go nuts rehairing them however you want, send them back to me to be repainted, i'll sell them on ebay and split the monies.

anyone interested? or is this the most ******** idea ever?
 
I might be interested in giving it a go... I just recently started customizing ponies, but I can rehair pretty easily.

That sounds like a great idea, and I'd be up for it! I've got a few skeins and odd bits 'n pieces lying around.

I was thinking though, couldn't we all just customise a whole pony and send it back to you? Or would that be defeating the object?
 
well, what i can do is list all the baits i have, and if someone wants to do the whole custom, i can sell the baits for like a dollar or whatever (they're all g3s in display condition). i just thought it would be fun to do some frankenstein customs, you know?

sweet! when i get home i'll compile a list of all my doubles, and PM everyone to see if anyone has a particular preference or wants to request a certain number of baits. then i'll get addys and send them out!
 
Diet, when I started reading your post, I thought you were saying it was sad to remove your ponies from your work and would be asking someone to make you a themed custom with your company's logo on it in the company's colors (work related material gets to stay, right? lol) A bit of another direction, but that would be cute and a funny way to stick it to your boss ;)

LOL! i'm not sure that would count, actually... they'd probably be all "that's not official pacificare merchandise, so it has to come down!" funny thought, though. ;p
 
I don't know, they might like that you've gone so far as to make a company-themed pony. Depending on who sees your desk, that is...

Ever think of customizing a pony into your work logo so it would "fit in" with your corporate mandate? Could be cute, as well as approved.
