were most likely not going to even have a wedding this year cause of life, but i just though maybe i could get myself more excited about it lol

in high school, we had to plan our wedding and i absolutely hated it cause i was the fattest girl in class and i just did not have a fun time. I couldnt even find a decent dress cause we couldnt just pick one, we had to pick things that were true to size and junk like that

it was overall just a really terrible experience and i did just enough to pass with a c, i really hated the class cause it made me so self conscious, i felt fat and ugly through the whole thing

That sounds like an absolutely awful assignment. We had to make t-shirts for my sewing class in HS and the teacher told me, in front of everyone, she didn't have enough material for a shirt in my size. So I could make a small one and she wouldn't dock my grade for not modeling it. :/

Luckily in this day and age we have waaaay more options. My baby sis is on the busty side and she found a website that did made to order dresses, I wanna say it was around $200-$300?

I would skip the whole retail experience entirely unless you absolutely know they will have your size. My middle sister is at the end of the ~conventional~ sizes and we hard time finding anything because wedding dresses are sized down so people buy out the larger sizes to have them tailored.

Of course there's no rules that you have to wear a conventional dress. An online buddy of mine bought plain white cotton sundresses for them and their bridesmaids and had a tiedye party for their bachelorette the weekend before.

Most people take a year to plan their wedding anyway. There's no rush unless the venue you want is in super high demand. Or it's like my family were they had a cow after finding out my sister and her now husband were living together. Pretty sure you don't have that problem lol

ah nah, i really would just like to find a friend who has property so i can get married out there on a saturday and not have to worry about venue issues lol

and i dont think i want a like "bride" dress, i also think i want it like, short.. but im not sure lol - ill probably just find a random dress and say THATS IT!

Like, i LOVE this, but im not a fan of lord of the rings xD - i didnt know it was lord of the rings, but others will, and i dont want them to associate me with lord of the rings when im not even into it lol

if you really like it I wonder if the embroidery would be removed and you could add another embroidered pattern? I'm a LOTR fan but that wasn't the first thing that popped into my head TBH.

I'm now a plus size person and I also dislike how most clothes/dresses fit on me. I've gained a lot of weight the past ten years, much less during/after high school ages ago. I understand how you feel.

I agree with @Cozytoyhoard 's suggestion of RenFaire folks for fantasy dress/decor/accessory recommendations. And I agree with @Gingerbread--I also didn't know that was a LOTR dress until you pointed it out!

I would pick out a few designs and then put them away for a while, until you're inspired to look at them again. I know it's hard to love yourself no matter your size, and you've got this @Sassarazzmadazzles

Ooh! Torrid has this one in their wedding dresses section and it's only $200! Plus it goes all the way up to size 30 because Torrid is amazing. I get all my best clothes there.

i have a whole lot more confidence then i did back then in high school, especially after i was able to score a guy for just being myself lol - but he has helped me grow so much more ♥

its just the dumb little monster in the back of my head that still pops up sometimes
