What are Bronies?!

OK, I don't know if there is a thread on this already, but I'm just DYING to know what are bronies?! I keep seeing the word popping up! Help!
 
some people say they are fat weird and strong guys but bronies have all kinds of definitions it just has to do with your opinion!:funnythumb:
 
I think bronies is the term used by male fans of MLP to describe themselves.
Or female fans use it to describe male fans >.< Ya know, Brother-Ponies

Adult My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic fans. Portmanteau of brother (or bro') and pony. Originally referred to male fans, but has evolved to include female fans as well. (Kind of like how the word dude used to refer to just guys, but now can be used for either gender).
 
Generally, they're fans of Friendship is Magic who got into the show via *****. A lot of them are pretty cool, but some of them have a strong dislike of the older generations, which can be very annoying. XD

my best friend is kinda a brony 8D
he is a male who is a slight fan of mlps.
so thats what I think it is. male mlp fans!

Pretty much what Sprinkles said. It started when someone on *****'s board for cartoons posted a link to an article titled The End of the Creator-Driven Era in TV Animation. Between ridiculing its apocalyptic tone, some guys decided to check out the cartoons it mentioned, including MLP:FiM. And that's how the website infamous for starting rick-rolling, distributing snuff films, and organizing the hacking attacks on the Church of Scientology catapulted Friendship is Magic fanaticism among the 18-24 year old male demographic.
