Hello! I recently picked up a G1 Medley and I discovered that she has these shiny patches on her wing and neck. These shiny patches feel the same as the rest of her body (it doesn't leave a film on your fingers or anything). There seem to be very faint scratches underneath the shininess. I've tried to remove them using soap, water, acetone, isopropyl alcohol, and a melamine sponge. So far, nothing has worked. Does anyone know what these shiny patches are and how to get them off? (if possible).

It's likely the beginning of the plasticizer breaking down and aging. Eventually you may find these spots start to feel sticky or a bit oily, unfortunately it is the aging process of G1 ponies. It may not start "leaking" for many years to come yet, but these are the points that often start on a Firefly pose pony (high contact areas when they were played with).

This seems most likely, thank you for your input!

Is it sticky / tacky? If so it might be plasticizer leaking. But if not, I agree it's dried glue from manufacturing. To me it looks like glue.
