What do you *do* with your ponies?

Do you carry them in your handbag? Do you take them travelling? Or do they only sit quietly on your shelves?

My ponies generally sit on their shelf or on the side of my desk, but if I'm doing something pony-related, like watching videos of others' collections, browsing strawberryreef.com, or going on this forum (YES, THEY'RE WATCHING YOU RIGHT NOW), I put a few of them in front of my laptop so that they would know that more ponies existed out there. (I'm not sure if they can read, but I think they can at least recognise other ponies on the screen.) I take one out in my bag when I feel like it, but this is only rarely because I think that if I do it too often their hair would get messed up or their marks would be rubbed off.

well of course I let my daughter play with them and I brush em and wash em and play with their hair and stuff and naturally I always introduce new ones to the herd. (do that with my model horses too) I also like to take fun pictures with them, when the mood strikes me.

For the most part they stay on the shelf, although I occasionally move them around. I used to take a different one with me to work everyday but I was too afraid something would happen to them and eventually stopped. I need to give everyone a good bath and restyle, those curls start to loose bounce after a while and I won't lie, they might be just a wee dusty but bathing around 400 ponies takes a while. If I had closer pony friends we could do a slumber party and have a pony bathing/styling assembly line, that'd get it done quickly!

My ponies mostly hang out on the shelves around my apartment. I think there are ponies in every room except the bathroom. ;)

My ponies sit on a 3 tiered table in the hallway of our apartment. I used to have them on my desk at work, but I got a new job and I'm introducing them to my desk again slowly so people don't get weirded out. I have a hard plastic one that came in a bar of soap that I was thinking of putting in our communal fish tank at work. Those poor fish look so bored, they could use a little pony friend.

Mine are all packed away until I have a spare room to make into a pony room. I have a couple hundred now so trying to spread them around a 1 bedroom house would not go well and my husband would probably throw a fit if I tried. I think people would also start judging pretty good if a 26 year old woman started packing ponies around lol. I also only collect G1s and am very careful to make sure they maintain their conditions so I try not to do too much with them beyond their initial cleaning and hair styling when they join my herd. When I was a child my first two ponies were my favorite (movie version Firefly and Baby Starbow) went EVERYWHERE with me. It is a miracle I never lost them.

My g1 ponies sit on my book shelves. I only do clean and groom them when I get them and then I just like to watch them. I'm too old to play with them (unfortunately :D ) and my nephew is too young for that (and when he is old enough he have to be veeery gentle if he wants to play with them :p) so now ponies can only watch whats happening around the house. But I do like do other pony related stuff like browsing this forum ;)

most of my ponies sit on shelves/playsets that I have out. the blind bags tend to travel with me here and there and sometimes...sometimes I play with them. not just hair brushing but acting things out.
I lucked into some ponies and it had mommy moondancer and I had a baby at home. when I brought them together, I acted out a reunion! it was so much fun!! lol!!

I keep a Twilight Sparkle in my purse all the time now, its kinda silly but it helps me think of the "success" song and it really helped me overcome some tough stuff lately. Sadly all the others are in boxes right now while I get my shelves sorted out.

I have them on my shelves, and when I go to a beautiful place one or two come with me and I take pics (you can see them on my tumblr ;)).

One time per month I dust them (I have few, for that reason I can do that :D).

Also each night I took their noses to wish them sweet dreams lol :D

And of course I visit MLP webs and I watch the cartoons (I love the G3s movies :))

Imagining the ponies discovering other ponies online is going to entertain me for the rest of the day. :)

My own herd lives in the pony room and mostly stay on their shelves. I do set up displays for them for the holidays (xmas, easter, I've been dying to do a halloween display but never seem to have the time), and ponies will sometimes travel with me on special occassions (G1 Minty comes to work on St. Pat's day every year). What I should really be doing is dusting/cleaning them all.

I mostly admire my ponies on a shelf, really. All of the ponies I have that are rare or are in sets I want to keep them in go on a small shelf just above a box with lots more ponies in it. My main reason whenever I get them out is to scrub them or brush their manes. I only recently got back into them, so mine are in quite bad condition.

Hi, Valerie! Yes, I have seen your pony pictures on Tumblr, and I love them. :)

The maddest part is bidding on ponies on eBay. The ponies would watch as the timer tick away and we'd all be like "Is this pony coming home? Will we be meeting this pony? DUN DUN DUN." :p

The majority sit around in boxes, since I have no display space at all. I usually have several in the kitchen at all times, where I am cleaning up old and new herd members and attempting to learn the tricks of pony restoration. A few more are on trays outside, partly wrapped up like mummies as I attempt to sun-fade their woes away.

Ten very lucky ponies are actually being played with by my nephews. They get to each pick five out of a designated "swap box" a couple of times a week. The joy they get out of remembering the myriad names and declaring which kind of pony a given individual is (earth / pegasus / unicorn / sea / flutter) is simply adorable.

Mine happily sit on their shelves in the pony room. Occasionally they get dusted.

Mine are shelf sitters. They seem happy enough. I am currently moving them into the pony room. Today saw all of the G1's shelved away. I can imagine them all jostling round getting in position, with the occasional "oi get off my tail Posey!!" or *sniff* "Barnacle?? Was THAT you???" I will likely re--arrange them all at a later date, but for now, they are on a shelf, now for the G3's and G4's!!

I keep mine safely tucked away on a shelf most of the time, but once every six months or so I take them all down and spread them all over the house so I can clean up and reorganize. XD I occasionally take them on vacations too, to take pictures.

I have a big bunch that stays out and we have tea parties with my super heroes. Now mind you, some of the heroes have seen horrible, horrible things and they're drinkers. So when booze is involved, insults are made about Party hats and mane colours, fights break out, hooves and fists fly, the cops get called...

That's how every tea party goes in Downton Abbey, right?
