What do you think is the weirdest pony name?

Night cap (what's this baby pony doing?!)
Shady (cause I'm not thinking of sun glasses, more like sketchy people)
 
My thoughts immediately went to Tink-a-Tink-a-Too.

But also:

Pinkie Pie - Okay, we are all used to it by now, but seriously, what dark corner of the subconscious did this come from?

Ruby Lips - REALLY?

Kiss & Make Up - !!!!

Babies Billie, Susie, and Katie - Do not want!

Blushie - 'nough said.
 
I honestly think one of the funniest names is Twilight Sparkle, due to a certain book series in which certain characters tend to sparkle.

I'd never made that connection, having no interest whatsoever in that particular series about sparkly people.

My mind has been blown.
 
I renamed my Tink-a-tink-a-too plush Chime :p
Up up and away has always bothered me as a name, it just seems like it would be awkward to say in conversation.

Oh and Blossomforth, what does that even mean? She is the forth pony in a line of flowers?
 
I always thought bunkie was a little strange but, due the fact I still need her I hope she comes my way someday lol.
sticky is a odd name for a pony.
graffiti - is sad thing to name a pony I always pictured her with a spray can.
munchy - she eats way too much ><
floater , puddles, tootie tails , and whizzer lets not go there..

I have never liked "Whirly Twirl" especially for a boy. I've always thought "Snuzzle" was a weird name, but I do love it. I agree that some ponies sound like they have more in common with bathrooms than Ponies. LOL.

Also....
I have the G3 Line naming figured out!!! First, they named some with the solid names of the 80's: Cotton Candy, Minty, Butterscotch. Then, they put a bunch of words in a bowl. They drew out a name, and made it rhyme. Hence, Jolly Lolly, Boogie Woogie, Thistle Whistle, etc. Then, for the rest of the pony names, they pulled out 2 words at a time and that was the pony's name!! I mean, really, how DID they come up with some of the combinations??? Tangerine Twinkle, Royal Rose, Pinkie Pie, Sunset Sweetie, Brights Brightly, Juniper Jade, Flutter Butter (oh that was a rhyming one), ...yeah!!

When I saw Brights Brightly I was really hoping that was a typo... then I looked it up and saw it was an actual name... Seriously? Who thought that would be a good name? I'm now subscribing to your words in a bowl theory. :p
 
I've mostly avoided contributing to this thread since too many pony names sound like...things which don't belong on a G-rated board. Too many years of Internet have irrevocably warped my brain.

I always found Steamer, Whizzer, Salty, Pinkie Pie, Floater, Sweet Suds all to be odd names
 
For me; Pillow Talk, Derpy and Shenanigans are the goofiest.

Mine is Derpy. It's just totally strange as a name to me.

Paradise is another one. While I adore the pony, it sounds like a stripper name to me. (can I say that word here? lol)
