I'm a plushie freak, but I don't really like the new style pony. Are these out in stores? I might have to check them out. It looks REALLY cute!
 
I must check my TRU. Though there pony selection has been scant lately, so I'm not holding out too much hope for 'em.
 
I looked for some Monday but my store is closing/moving so they're having massive sales and trying to weed out their stock =/ I'm betting there won't be any new stuff til they get moved and settled into the new location -sighs dramatically-

I think on Halicabi's list on the arena it said $15, but I don't know how acurate that is. Could be a sale price maybe?
 
They're cute, but they not as classic G3 plushes. :914:

I think there's size comparisons at the Arena. I def know they're bigger than the yarn haired plushies that came out.


I'm thinking of swinging by our TRU later today and see what they have. If they have a Rainbow Dash and if I'm not turned away by the horror of her looks, I JUST might get it.
 
I hope either Wal-Mart or Target gets them. I want at least one, but the closest Toys R Us is 30 miles away and I'd hate to go all that way to find they don't have them. And I'm just too cheap to buy online and pay the shipping cost for them, which I'm sure is too much. I love that they look like the G4 style, I just wish they'd used the new symbols for them. I like RD's new symbol and I think it's kind of weird to use the G4 body shape and eye style without the symbols, and without RD's wings. It's like a mash-up of two styles.
 
Okay...I just got back from my running around today and my TRU had only the Pinkies in stock. I picked her up and just didn't think anything of her. I read over on the Arena that somebody said they reminded them of a carnival prize. And I have to COMPLETELY agree. Every plush they had the legs weren't strong, so the big head weighs them down.

Not impressed. I'm sure some people will enjoy them. If I run across a RD, MAYBE I'll get her....if she's like $2 or something. ;)
 
What is the fabric like? Is it furry at all - like nice deep pile - or just felt-like?

I love plushies but they have to be cuddle-able, I don't want to be exfoliated by the sandpaper like fabric...

It's really cheap feeling and not soft at all. At least it didn't feel that way to me. I do think they were trying to go for the "new" look of the ponies, but I just don't think it works. I think folks are going to have to fix them legs to make 'em stand!! I still have a HUGE Frilly Frocks that needs my assistance!! LOL!! :mrgreen:
 
It sounds to me like they perfectly duplicated the new ponies--cheap, huge head, and eyes large enough to swallow your SOOOOOOUL! :laugh:

Now if only they'd given them hair that can pop off so they can also be bald.
 
No luck finding them at my TRU. For those of you who have seen them, were they with the regular pony stuff or somewhere else, like with the stuffed animals?
