Hey everypony, the other half and I are going ton a trip to Washington state next month and I want to know if any of you from the area have suggestions for what's cool and fun! We'll be in the Seattle area but aren't afraid to drive a bit. We're planning to visit Pike Place and the International District so far, as well as some hikes i the nearby parks. Thanks in advance!

You should visit us! We're a ways from Seattle, though. On the pier in Seattle they have a Ferris wheel that will give you an amazing view, plus they have a ‘wings over Washington’. It’s like a flight over Washington state. Beautiful views. I like the ferry boats and the space needle is pretty cool. If you come south, Mt St Helens is awesome. They’ve got a visitor center on the north side where you can see the effects of the 1980 eruption and on the south there are the ape caves. You do need an online reservation for the ape caves. They are a lava tube from an eruption in b.c. with some cool trails. We’ve got waterfalls all over the place. Eastern Washington is cool, too. It’s probably out of the range you’re going, but let me know if you want some cool spots out there. ;)

We may make our way over there yet! The ferry boats sound like a lot of fun. Your state sure does have a lot of big parks, holy cow! Thanks for the recommendations!
