Which gen do you prefer?

A simple question, really. I'm looking to make some extra cash these days and have decided to try my hand at customizing again. My question to all of you lovelies is this: When making and/or buying a custom, which generation pony do you prefer? I've made G1 and G3 customs in the past, and though G1s are easier to prep and rehair, I think G3s *look* better as customs.

What's your stance?

I picked G1 'cause they're easier to work with. But G3's are easier to find, and I've never tried to do G2's.

Hehe I have a similar thread going on General Discussion but it's about collecting. When I saw yours I felt lame, since I thought I had posted the same poll in the same forum it was running, until I saw I was in the Customs forum.

I don't really think it has to do with the generation for me, so much as the idea/concept.

As much as I love the look of G3 customs, I voted G1 because they are easier to prep and rehair! Gah, my fingers still hurt thinking of the last G3 custom I did >_<;; The pliers...

G1's are my all time fav. I grew with them.
G3's are my fav to use as bait for customs.

I used to like G3's, but lately I've been on a G1 custom kick. I still only collect G3s though.

Poor G2s! Ha. I voted for G1 and G3. G1s are easier to work with but G3s are the prettiest imo. I rarely see a G1 that looks good as a custom. Not sure what it is about them that doesn't. Maybe Hasbro just did it right the first time ^^

lol, it's alright ^-^ I saw yours too right after I posted this and was like "aww.. crap " but then I realized they're not totally the same, so I breathed a sigh of relieg

Thanks for the imput everyone.. the poll is pretty evenly divided right now. Poor G2s.. I had to include them though. I have several G2 baits that I've been thinking of customizing, plus I love the G2s.

I think some people misunderstood the question. I like to own G3 customs more, even though G1s are easier to make.
