Who here has extra ponies laying around? Maybe accessories, stickers, clothing, miscellaneous items piling up? Perhaps to many items to give away all at once on the freebie board? Well that's why we should have a recycle swap! Pretty much the idea for this swap is you can't purchase any new items for your partner. The only items you can use are ones you already have or ones that you make yourself. This is a great swap for anyone who is strapped for cash but still wants to participate in a swap.

There is no price limit as there is no buying items. However to try to make it fair the limit will be certain amount of items. Perhaps between 12-15? There is another twist to this swap. You can't make a wishlist of the ponies you want. Instead you make a list of what types of ponies you like. You also make a list of personal interests or hobbies you have. To avoid getting something you don't want you will also include the things you don't like.

Instead of saying:

I want Moonstone, Princess Luna, and Beach Comber I would say: I love celestial ponies, lunar ponies, and beach ponies. It adds a bit of mystery plus it gives your partner a lot of creative freedom if they make you items.

As for your other likes it could be anything you like to do or something unique that you love. It could include I love pugs, I love soccer, I love glitter and so on. It just gives your partner an idea of what will make you happy.

To sum this all up you trade away left over items, it's a big mystery, you get cool stuff, everyone has a way past radical time, and there are smiles all around. :D So is anyone interested?
 
This sounds like fun! Does that mean you can also just make people things (artwork, sculptures, plushies and other handicrafts, clothing, jewelry, even cookies depending on where you're shipping to and what customs allows) if you don't have any spare ponies lying around?

Perhaps you should also set a size limit on items, or say "max 1-3 large items / 10-15 small ones"?
 
Yep! If someone wanted to make treats that would be awesome :D As long as there is one pony item OR pony themed item in the box you can make/bake/decorate whatever you'd like to put in the box.

I think your size limit idea is great! That way someone isn't going to get all large or all small items.
 
Oh, I like this swap idea! If someone mentions they enjoy baking, you could send them cookie cutters or pick out lovely beads for a craftster, fabric for a sewing buff... Oooo. This gives you lots of choices for gifts!
 
I like this idea I have a line of ponies needing homes. This would be wonderful.
 
If only the post office wasn't on strike. :( They're making me lose out on so much fun.
 
You could have it mailed to me and I could mail it to you when the strike ends. Not the same fun as getting it 'right then', I know, but better than nothing!

Don't worry, if we do this swap it won't be for a while so hopefully the post office strike will be over :)

It doesn't have to be a pony. It could be accessories or merch. Anything made by hasbro in the pony line will work.

I have lots of accessories, pony clothes and ponies that I need to move on!
