Who would you have made the core 7 ponies?

Have a pony you absolutely love? Wish she was a core-7 pony? Well, let me know who you think the core 7 ponies should have been? However, there are a few rules:There must be at least 1 unicorn and at least one pegasus pony, and an optional baby pony.

Sunny Daze (Earth)
Minty (earth)
Star Catcher (Pegasus)
Baby Bellaluna (Baby)
Rarity (Unicorn)
Rainbow Dash (earth)
Cotton Candy (earth)

Interesting question.

Minty (Obvious choice. Silly of Hasbro not to have included her.)
Brights Brightly (Unicorn, added bonus yellow.)
Silver Glow (Pegasus, nice blues and white.)
Goody Gumdrop (Baby, cute and covers the 'sweet' aspect.)
Cherry Blossom (Lovely colors. Wish they'd have let her keep this name.)
Fizzy Pop (Bright colors, fun name that hints towards the original line.)
Sunny Daze (Another from the first year the G3s appeared. She seemed to be everywhere, then just poof and gone. Clearly Pinkie and Dash teamed up to get rid of her, fearing her popularity would only continue to soar.)

Have to say was very tempting and a bit hard not to include both Kiwi Tart and Merriweather. Adore them both. Plus well more yellow. I like yellow. :) Considered including Pinkie Pie instead of Sunny Daze, but SunnyD won out because I like her colors better. Just seemed like two from the first year of G3s should be there.
 
Another vote for Minty here!

I think I would have left Pinkie and Rainbow Dash.

Toola Roola too, in her old design!

Probably Tinka tinka too... and Rarity and Starcatcher.

That was hard!
 
Personally, I would not have made any into the core 7. Even if it were my favorite 7 G3's, I think I would get sick of seeing them released over and over again. However, for the fun of this thread, this is who I will pick:

Autumn Skye
Cloud Climber (peg)
Waterfire
Sunrise Song (uni)
Meadowbrook
Shenanigans
 
well I haven't thought much about other 6, but definately Minty. She has such personality, and a much better color scheme than Scoot (plus more Pink since they feel little girls only like pink) and she's just so much fun! It was so crazy to kick her out.

A big part of me wants to say Butterscotch too. Idk why...I guess i just wish i'd seen him in more poses.

though taking that route it looks like they'd just be reusing the original idea from the 80s just with the new generation. not that there's anything wrong with that, but maybe that's why they didn't keep them around? that or their test group has serious problems and should be fired.

Based upon general popularity (with kids, I guess), and who seemed to already show up the most in the animated episodes and on MLP merchandise, this is who I think should have been in the Core 7:

Pinkie Pie
Rainbow Dash
Minty
Star Catcher
Rarity
Twinkle Twirl
Sunny Daze (I was thinking either Sunny Daze or Sparkleworks, but since I think Sunny Daze's colors look better, I'm going with Sunny Daze)
 
Minty, Minty, Minty, a Minty with wings, Minty, Unicorn Minty, and Minty...

Hmm... Well Minty for sure, Skywishes because she had a cute personality in the movie, Star Catcher, maybe Whistle Wishes rep'ing the unicorns, Port O Bella for sure, and uhm... Pepperberry (cause she just rocks) and Beachcomber (cause I <3 her)

Shenanigans (the active one)
Wysteria (the popular Fashionista)
Minty (the creative one)
And then a pegasus and Unicorn that were new characters.

They would be more like My Little Pony Tales.
 
I would have picked:

1. Minty (connection to MLP origins)
2. Pinkiepie (obligatory pink pony)
3. Rainbowdash (Rainbow pony)
4. Star Catcher (Pegasus)
5. Tea Lily (baby)
6. Sweetie Belle (unicorn)
7. Waterfire (Changed to a boy)
and (Because an odd number is stupid for sets, :p )
8. Fluffaluff (Because breezies are the only unique creatures in G3 pony land)
