Why must you snipe T.T

Wow....whoever was the winner of that lot got a

STEAL!

WOW! There are a lot of stuff in that lot could have easily made money for someone. I will bet it was a reseller that actually won that. I am sure they put a snipe in for *a lot* more than what that ended.

They are probably on cloud nine that they got it for so cheap.

yeah, I think if I saw that lot I would have bid a lot higher too... the pearlies by themselves pretty much cover the cost of the price the entire lot sold for... and Winter Snow ain't chopped liver either.
I'm sorry about what you went through though... ebay is just so stressful sometimes. Once I forgot to bid on this lot of like 100 hockey cards, a ton of them were signed and some had jersey pieces in them. The freakin lot sold for $2.00 and I missed it. I know that isn't really the same thing because I only lost it because of my stupidity whereas you worked really hard to get that but I'm just saying we've all been through some ebay heartache. Chin up, though. None of those ponies are impossible to find.

I'm sorry you lost the auction, it happens to the best of us all at one point or another. I still remember the really good ones I've lost, YEARS later.:ipmimscs:

I snipe everything that I want really badly. I use EZsniper, it's glorious. sniping is the only thing that makes ebay worthwhile for me, because the act of setting up a snipe means you know you only have one chance to get what you want, and you put in what really would be your maximum, and as a result, every auction I've sniped but LOST, I didn't feel any regret over, because that really was above my max.

I think the flaw with bidding below your maximum bid is that you might OR might not get another chance to bid, you just don't know, but you're taking that chance. I'm willing to do anything to minimize that chance that I could lose what I really want, that's why I always bid my maximum bid, or alternately, snipe.

well you guys are all right and i get all that. DBM was right-a night in my own bed really helped

see with me is i can not bring myself to spend the $25 on a single pony; i think it's rediculous. i just cannot bring myself to spend that much on a single piece of plastic. many pieces that i could use to recoop my losses yes, but just one? that's my vital flaw there...

but so yeah. all is better in my world today. i''m still dog tired, but meh. i'm getting old

i just have to learn to stay away from eBay is all

:reaper: Kat :reaer:

I know it's really hard to justify that on one pony, but it's not out of the realm of possibility that you could find any of those hidden in another lot again.

I am a very proud sniper, do it every chance I get. All is fair in love and ponies!

And that is your choice. But you will never get some of the beautiful more rare ponies that I personally love to own. Which is fine...but not for me. If I have the money I see no problem in spending hundreds for the right pony. But I am taking my collection perhaps more seriously. *shrugs*

It's a growth process Whippet hon, remember? We all started out with the "$25 for ONE pony??! That's crazy!" mentality.

Years pass and experience sets in...and next thing you know...finding that grail for $250 is a steal! **** yeah baby! I'm on it!

I must say I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who feel this way :p Since there's lots of self confessed snipers I feel much better coming out of the sniper's closet - I'm in good company :krakrani:

hey i'm over the sniper thing now-everyone's right it's a really great thing to do if you can do it.

see my thing is i don't have the money. i do take my collection seriously, but it is harder to afford the expensive things when you're jobless (my fault yes), can't drive (again my fault), are not in school, and live at home with your parents and your three younger siblings-the eldest of which is going away to a "good/real" college next year. not that i'm making excuses, or getting deffensive here (ok maybe a little deffensive) but to tell you the truth i've never really been able to justify that much for a single anything. not beanies when we did those, not TCG cards whem we did those, not even comic books, and those are all things i am/was very passionate about and collect(ed) very seriously.

but then again the old addage "if you want it bad enough you'll find a way" does apply

OMG Kar that piccie is so funny :icon_smile_lachuh:
