Winter Toboggan pony with WHITE magnet instead of pink?!?!

I just picked up a few G3's at Value Village this afternoon.

One of the ponies I got was the Winter Series III Target Exclusive Holiday pony "Toboggan", which I knew I already had, but the thing I noticed about her is that she has a WHITE hoof magnet instead of pink! I don't think I have ever seen that before!

Does anyone know what's up with that??? I have no idea!

I believe Hasbro started using the white cover after they stopped putting actual magnets in the ponies' hooves. Even though they discontinued the magnets, they were still using the same molds at that point, and I guess they still wanted something to cover up the hole in the hoof.

I didn't think they'd started leaving the magnets out until 2007, but I guess I was wrong if some Toboggans were affected too. Or maybe they started using the white "non-magnet" covers a bit early, even though there may still be a magnet in the hoof? Only one way to find out I guess.... Does she stick to the fridge? :D

Nope! :D LOL I already tried -- my original Toboggan does have a working magnet, but no, this new white hoofed Toboggan doesn't have a working magnet!

Sooo....that's weird, hey? If Toboggan was made in 2005 -- why doesn't she have a magnet if they didn't start phasing the magnets out until 2007? That's super weird.
 
i bought the 3pack(snoglo,minty & tobbaggon ) last xmas for Robyn @ my super store and they all have the white used to be a magnet hoof, they don't stick.
