Hello all, apologies for not being on too often and such but I just have to let everyone know about a recent issue I had with a G4 pony...
Well I received a lovely Midnight at Canterlot set from here on the mlptp, and upon inspection I found the now usual issues found with ponies from Hasbro, frizzy hair, knots and glue with hair stuck in it.
I thought this would be no issue to fix, G4 hair fixes easily with my hair straightener on its lowest setting! Well it USED to.
My poor rarity has slightly burnt tail thanks to how cheap Hasbro is now.
So word of warning, if its terrible hair in a very recent G4 pony, be very careful! I don't want this to happen to anyone else!
Very glad I tested on rarity first though, it'll be easy to get a new rarity for this set. Still very upset about this though :cry2:
Oh what ever h

Hiya Truly! Glad to see you around!

Hasbro has really gotten stingy with the production of the Ponies. Their plastic colours don't match head with body, the cheapo paper crowns and masks, the hair quality is down...

I sure hope the newer releases about to come out step things up. I really hate paying so much for poor product. Our Ponies deserve better.

Sorry! Technology issues!
The last sentence is meant to be "oh what ever happened to the quality of Hasbro?"
I still love all ponies, I'm just really disheartened by this, getting a new toy you should be able to get it without knots and hair frizz like it was played with roughly! G4s used to be better!

Heya evilbunnyfoofoo! Very true, I too feel Unhappy paying money for a poor product, I've even seen a rainbow power Princess Cadence with cancer like marks on her! When I go to buy a pony I like in store, I pick though to find the very best one, but even then I open her up and 'here be cheap nasty knotty hair!'
I miss good new ponies! I'm so sad for them!

So glad I received some of these only for customizing *tosses paper masks into garbage and removed all their hair and repaints them*

Now days nothing isn't well made -.- Everything is like use it once, then toss it to garbage... It doesn't even matter it the price is higher still you get junk stuff.. I have noticed this in toys, clothes, accessories etc. Everything is like just buy a new one, so corporation gets more money... Speacially clothes even the brand name won't guarantee that the garment will last long.. Quality is in zero level -.-

I usually soak the mane in water before using hair straightener (and the mane is really wet and while I straighter it). The water will protect the plastic hair more than just using the hair straightener to dry mane.

In all of G4, I have only gotten 2 ponies with glue in their hair, the single Cheerilee and the single Sunset Shimmer with the masquerade mask. Cheerilee's glue was in the middle of her tail, It caused a lot of her hairs to snap and tear in half. Sunset's glue is at the base of the bottom yellow streak of her mane. Not too terribly annoying, but I prefer it over over the Cheerilee situation. :sadpony:
G4 quality has always been low in general, one of my first g4's, Applejack, had a crack on the non display side of her neck and I didn't even see it until I had her out of the package. :cry2:
As for hair quality, the hair type has definitely changed. It feels plastic-ier, and more brittle than it used to. I don't nessasarily think it's a lower quality, as the newer ponies I have don't have frizzy or knotted hair, I think it's just a different type of thread than we're used to.
