Yarn crafters Unite! 2

Hey look at this!
Hehe he's kinda hot!
The fact that he loves to Crochet definitely gives him extra attractiveness points!

Knitting. Better yet, when tinking back, all the stitches were knitted or purled through the back loop.

On cotton yarn.

The pain is real.

Oh no!!!! The pain! the suffering! the agony!!!
Why yarn! Why do you do this to us crafters!
I shall mourn your lost progress x~x

On an unrelated note I need to start my Halloween costumes!
I really think everypony will love the theme I've picked this year!

That’s excellent!

Prepare for Daughter spam…

My kiddo caught a yarn hyperfixation in 2020 because she wanted to make herself a giant penguin. (Idk why, but she did.) So she asked my mom to teach her. My mom has been crocheting most of her life, since she was a young girl, and while she tried to teach me a couple times it’s just not my thing. I loved watching my daughter take it all in and run with it, though! She was 18 at the time.

She started off learning a simple granny square and made a BUNCH of them in the span of a week. Then she made a few simple ball shapes to get the feel for increasing/decreasing and eventually made a small version of the giant penguin (because the giant one was too intimidating). After a few months she tackled the giant one and loves him tons. The little one now lives with a friend’s grandson who also loves him tons.

She’s made so much cool stuff over the years, these are just a few pictures I had accessible…

A sling for my water bottle for Mother’s Day last year and she made up the pattern herself. :purpleheart::greenheart:

How wonderful!
I think ive been crocheting for about 11 years now this christmas!
I started when I was 14 and developed a special interest for it as well!
When i turned 16 i was allowed to watch YouTube and I started teaching myself new tricks!
As before from 14-16 i could only make squares and ugly hats per the instructions provided in this craft kit I received for Christmas!

I might be interested in a baby bonnet or two at some point, do you take commissions?

I don't usually accept commissions as I'm always so busy!
but if you don't mind waiting you can feel free to send me a PM And we can see if we can come to an agreement! ^~^ <3

i wanna get one of those little kits that lets you make little animals or whatever, so that i can see if my granny knuckle can handle it! id love to learn how to make stuff, but if i did, it would be bad cause then id have so much more stuff i dont need lol

Saw this mini crochet christmas sweater ornament on Facebook and thought it was absolutely adorable I showed it to my sister and she said that's stupid you could just make tiny sweaters for my plush instead

Those are cute! I tried to knit tiny sweater ornaments 1 to 2 years ago. I got so fed up with the fiddly yarn and the fiddly double point needles, that I didn't get very far. I want to try again but it's going to have to be later.

Wow I looooooove all the work and pictures here, how amazing!! Youre all so talented :D

Here is THE video that taught me how to crochet a flat circle it really helped me out because the story she tells about the yarn really stuck in my head!
And I think of this video whenever I go to crochet a flat circle :)<3
Just wanted to share my love and appreciation for this video!
