What was the first pony you remeber owning and what was the first pony you remeber buying when you first started collecting? I thought this would be an interesting topic.

My first pony was scooter sprite. I remeber getting her at my birthday party. I think it was my 8th birthday.

The first pony a bought when I started collecting was g1 minty.
 
hmm I guess my first pony I did get was Melody from seven tales. Mostly my childhood ponies are inherited from my older cousins etc. so I can't really remeber did I get any other pony as a new one..

First pony I bought was Sea Breeze from Tropical set :)
 
First pony I got was probably a G3 Rainbow Dash or Wisteria.

First pony I bought when I started collecting was G3 Sweetberry!
 
My first pony was G1 Snowflake. I can't remember who bought her for me but I was probably about 7. Other early ones included Gypsy, Cherries Jubilee and Gusty.

I was bought another Snowflake and I couldn't bear to part with her so she became known as Snowflake 2 :)
 
I don't remember exactly but I think it might have been G1 Windy as a kid.

My first G3s were a 4 pack. Star Dasher, Sparkleworks, Rainbow Dash and Denim Blue. Of those now I only have Star Dasher left.

My first G4s were Diamond Mint and Lyra Heartstrings, but I just couldn't get over those unhorse-like heads and gave them away.
 
My very first pony, collecting as an adult was knee-raised G1 Firefly. Still got her!
 
I've had ponies as far back as I remember, the first one I actually remember receiving was Cherries Jubilee, I remember my mom and I stopping by my Dad's job for something and we were in the back of the store and he gave her to me. She wasn't my first pony but it's the first one I actually remember the moment. I was probably around 3, ponies were my favorite as a kid so I remember getting them for all holidays and such but this is probably my earliest memory. When I pulled the ponies back out of the attic in my later teens and discovered the marvels of ebay my collecting was renewed. The first pony I bought off ebay was Strawberry Surprise I was probably about 18 and it's been ponies non stop since then!
 
Oo @Gingerbread Cherries Jubilee was one of my most coveted ponies as a kid. I use to stare at her on the back of Posey's card & hoped to find her in Toy World when we went into town


My first pony I brought was G1 Posey (she was my first pony ever) I think I was 10 or 11 at the time & we had a stop going through Westport

My second pony was Applejack, she was a christmas present.

The first pony I got when I started collecting again as an adult ( allegedly ) was Lofty the softy :)
 
My first childhood pony was Cotton Candy (pink pony toy in the 80's = license to print money!) My mom got her for me, so I joke that the pony room is all her fault. ;)

My first adulthood pony was G2 Sky Skimmer, who I discovered in a department store when they were first out. That's what started me collecting again.

My first pony was a G4 McDonald's Rainbow Dash from 2011, got her from a really crappy yard sale most of the stuff there looked it had been left out in the rain for months and the mattresses all smelled like pee. Fortunately Rainbow did not smell like pee.
 
I really can't remember anymore. I originally bought Ponies for my little sister Lindy, not myself. But the more I looked at it, the more I wanted some of my own, so I went and purchased some. I know that among my first were Applejack, Moon Dancer and Bubbles, I think. My oldest brother Ken bought me Minty at some point and she became my all around favourite.

I was a teen when I started buying, so you now all know i am ancient.
 
The first childhood pony for me was G1 long-haired Medley! I still have her. :)
The first pony I bought as an adult collector was G1 TE Sweet Stuff to replace the childhood one that I had lost (hehe), followed by G1 Surprise and Baby Blossom. :D
 
My first pony was a fakie! ...but my actual first MLP was flutter pony Morning Glory! I remember I was a little kid and my mom's friend gave it to me! I wish I had the foresight to keep her in the box! LOL, stupid breakable flutter wings! Way too fragile for a little kid to be playing with them :p
 
I'm not too sure what my first pony was as a kid, they all seem to blend together. I looked at the list of releases, it was probably one of the early forms of Minty. First one I remember was Sunny Daze!

I bought a G4 Fluttershy as my first pony when I first started collecting. After Christmas, when I had the money, I went on eBay and bought a single pony - Baby Count a Lot and a bundle with Peachy, Bluebelle and AppleJack. I count Baby Count a Lot as my first - both packages arrived on the same day, but he was the pony I got out of the box first!
 
I had fakies before (and two G1s I didn't realize were mlp until later), but the first mlp I got was g3 Moondancer at Christmas one year. The pony that got me into collecting was a blind bag Cadance. I love the blind bag ponies. So cute!
