Zecora and TRU... Jacking up the prices!!!!

I got my Zecora today, and first off, let me just say that she's awesome!

BUT...

I went there last weekend and they were all sold out. The ticket where she was supposed to be said $10.00. It was NOT a sales price tag!

Well, I went to TRU today and picked her up, not bothering to check, because, oh, I don't know, I checked last weekend, and got up to the register and she was priced at 14.99. The cashier said, "oh maybe it was a sales tag you saw." :cussing: Uh, no, it wasn't. So I pretty much paid BRONY price for something that is new. I might get my fiance to drive me back there after this event we are going to tomorrow afternoon to check it out, because I'm really unsettled and irritated by this. Also, a TRU by my house is moving, so it's liquidating its stock, so everyone seems to be going to this one I went to today. NOT RIGHT, I tell you!!!!

They did have large white Celestia on sale for 19.99, though. A sales tag you can't miss was underneath her, so I think I'd notice a tag just as giant for Zecora last week.

Anyone else having a problem with stores jacking up prices? This is the second time in a week for me.:cussing:
 
Zecora was relisted a day or so ago on TRU's website iwth the $15 price tag.

Seems to be a supply/demand deal going on. It's supposed to be a collector's item, so hopefully this will keep little kids from buying it willy-nilly and allowing people who buy ponies for their own personal collections to get a hold of it.
 
I got Zecora earlier this week. The tag on the shelf said $9.99 but the pony rang up for $14.99. I told the cashier and she had someone check, and fixed it for the $9.99 price. That's too bad that they are now actually pricing her at $14.99. Makes me think that someone saw how popular she was going to be when the pre-orders sold out and got greedy :(
 
I see. Thanks... I still think it bites. Saves me now from going back there. And the blind bags here in So. FL are $2.99. (or $2.50, depending where you go, like Target as opposed to WalMart)

Another thing I'm not too impressed with are the cards' prices. I will not buy them from anyplace but Target ($1.99).... I've seen them at TRU for $2.99, and at Hot Topic for $3.50. It's all over the board. I know that like was mentioned with the BB's, some people were buying cards at 4-5 bucks a pack. No thanks.

The BB's I can see for 3 bucks. Packs of the cards (bound to go up now), I can't.

I'm thrilled for the popularity of the franchise, but upping the prices because they know we'll pay or go without is just not right. But alas, money talks. :(

It hasn't arrived in my TRU yet, so I paid the mark up and shipping for it with
another few ponies. I thought $12 was going to be pricey for not being able to wait.
Now it seems I saved money on Zecora and the Favorites collection by having them
shipped to me early.

Now I don't feel so bad for paying a little extra back then. I will have saved in the end
rather than buying here now.:worthy:
 
I bought my Zecora and Favorite's pack at a TRU normally a little too far out of my way to go to but was going to a party in the area last weekend for the original prices. I was at 2 different TRU on Friday and they didn't have either of those packs so I coudln't say if the price was bumped up.
 
In Canada I paid 12.99 for her and was like 0_o shouldn't she be 9.99 or something. But 14.99 0_o geez

I paid 15 bucks at TRU.
