Identifying G3 Ponies

I. Identifying the Generation
II. Identifying the Pony's Name

I. From the Ground Up: Figuring out the Generation

Before finding your pony's name, the set it belongs to, or its value, it's important to know how to figure out what generation of My Little Pony you have. One of the easiest ways to deduce this is to look at both the pony's body, and the information printed under its feet:

G3 can sometimes be confused for G1 ponies because of their similar appearance. However, a G3 pony will have a date stamp in the early 2000's, often a heart on the side of its foot, and equally often, a pink magnet on the bottom of its foot. They also often have eyes that feature more than one color.

II. What is your G3 pony's name?

There are several ways to figure out which My Little Pony you have. Fortunately, we have wonderful members of the collecting community who have made this easier than it's ever been to accurately and easily identify your pony.
