G3 (a lack of) hoof magnets

every time i contribute to this forum, it seems to be about something odd! not sure why.

my piccolo has what appears to be a hoof magnet, but she isn't magnetic? i believe she's the build-a-pony release because she came with a lot of the disney accessories from it. unfortunately the information surrounding build-a-ponies is rather limited.

my only guesses to why she doesn't have one are a) budget reasons, and b) she was released after the discontinuation of magnet use in ponies. the second theory is weird because from what i've heard, ponies with no magnets and a cover have a white one and are typically europe releases? i was unable to remove the piece from her hoof, there's nothing rattling in her, and her neck doesn't seem to have been tampered with.

anyone have any thoughts? or build-a-ponies to compare with?

take my comment like a grain of salt,

but i feel like i remember seeing somewhere that the empty magnet feet were like, the budget ponies, or they just used the same mold as the current line of magnet ponies, so they have the same "look and feel" but they do not come with the magnetic magic

Build-A-Pony had no magnets in their hooves. I do not have one to compare to but I had read it around somewhere…
