G2 Accidentally discovered a new favorite pony!

Well, I just found a new pony I need thanks to Aquatic Neon’s sales post
I’ve never been a huge fan of g2 just cause they look so different than g1 and g3 but I want one now haha
G2 Ivy, specifically the Pretty Parlor one. She’s so sweet! And I love mint green and pink together

Anybody else recently found a new favorite they hadn’t seen before?

I mean, not recently, but Starcatcher was the whole reason I decided G3 was okay after all. I got ahold of the one with the fabric wings and it's been all down-hill on the pony collecting front since then. LOL!

Haha she is a really nice one! She’d been on my list for a while before I found her thrifting it’s too bad they didn’t do more with the fabric wings

I have found myself desiring a Sparkler army recently. I bought a Sparkler to complete my Year 3 set (who turned out to be an Italian Nirvana variant) and she's been growing on me ever since I don't know why ...

She's been sitting looking at me with her blue eyes, with her two buds who are also blue and have violet mixed with red hair, Tuneful and Salty.

Those blue unicorns, there's something primordial about them for me ...

She isn’t a very recent newly discovered favourite pony and I don’t remember how I came across this pony but her colour scheme and cutie mark is a yes from me. I don’t own her either but I hope so one day

Careful! I was the same way, only making an exception for Princess Silver Swirl because she was a heraldic white on white uni....then a few years later, like 2003, I went for Clever Clover. Did you know all G2s are an improvement on the twinkle eyes? Anyway, I got a deal for the red haired unicorn when I bought Prince Firefly, and then Princess Golden Light's name and theme...and now I have like 75 G2s. Secretly I hope you get into them, but I should also warn you! They are like if the Sweetheart Sisters had unicorns, twinkle eyes, and hard plastic flutter wings.

I think she looked the most like her illustration, because I remember as a kid, looking at the orchid-coloured hair of the ones in my store, and wondering which one she was. Also she's the first unicorn to leave off having some white in her colour scheme.

But my plan is not to have unicorns everywhere, my plan is to make a book with the ponies in them. I had to hold myself back.

It sounds a lot like draw of the G2 - there are so many delightful mysteries to delve. It gets the imagination whizzing.

@Luminary haha true, ponys do seem to have that affect (I do technically own one mini g2, but she was just a toy my sister left behind when she moved out, I always thought she was a fakie lol). I do know that! I’m actually not a fan of the twinkle eye g1s but for some reason the g2s little gem looks cuter to me. And wow that’s a big collection of them now

I was never that interested in the sweetheart sisters either (for the same reason I haven’t gotten into g2)though some are very pretty, so I can’t compare lol thanks for the warnings though!

The babies captivated me. I’m still not a fan of the necks with the big ball joints or the changing mane and tail g2. Otherwise I like the longer legs, gem eyes, and fun colors.
