Any 'Duffy and Friends' Fans Here?

I was wondering if anyone here is a fan of Duffy the Disney Bear and his friends! I know they're more popular in the Asian Disney parks, but I've loved them for ages, and I finally got a chance to get my very own LinaBell plush in Tokyo DisneySea in November! I love her so much and I want to start sewing outfits for her!

I am not involved much with Duffy & Friends, but I do have a Shelly Mae pin and postcard from Tokyo Disneyland. I also have an 'Olu Mel plush keychain, but I got him from Disney World, rather than Tokyo. I've gotta hear about this Tokyo Disneyland trip!! In my opinion, it's the best Disney park by far. Though, I haven't been to all of them, so I'm biased, LOL. I hope you had fun! I love your matching LinaBell headband- did you get that in Tokyo too?

Living in the UK, Paris is my go to park and it has a special place in my heart because I absolutely adore Phantom Manor and the unique castle, and also I got engaged there haha!

But I do absolutely love the vibe in Tokyo Disney and DisneySEA! This was my second time in the main park, and first time visiting SEA which absolutely BLEW my mind! And yes I got the ears at the same time I bought LinaBell, and the cast member must have seen the pure excitement on my face because she offered and then helped remove the tags so I could wear them immediately hahaha.

Yeah Disney is a huge part of my life in many ways, I studied animation at university and have always loved the art form, I love the movies, especially the princesses, and I'm also a HUGE fan of the parks and imagineering. I love how every park is like a big walk through art gallery filled with amazing architecture and I love thinking about how many artists worked together to design everything down to the tiny details - especially in areas which tell a story you have to uncover for yourself from clues around you such as how Phantom Manor in Paris is linked to Big Thunder Mountain, Thunder Mesa, Boot Hill and the rest of Frontierland. I actually run a Phantom Manor Facebook group with about 1000 people where we all discuss theories and stories and characters and stuff haha, and I got to cosplay Melanie the bride IN the parks at Halloween. All the cast members even called me by her name and played along which was so fun and an amazing experience, they all bowed to me when opening the doors to the foyer, and a butler even personally walked me hand in hand to help me get into the doom buggy. So yeah, I am SUPER SUPER into Phantom Manor haha. It's totally unique and the story and mystery carries through the whole of Frontierland, especially after the refurbishment when they solidified the theming. It's a shame you couldn't go on it, that refurb took like 3 years sadly but they did do a lot of work to the ride.



I also have my own company performing at parties as various 'very not-Disney fairytale characters' like the 'Ice Queen' and 'Sleeping Princess' wink wink



In terms of travel I've done the same parks as you! WDW when I was a child and was scared of rides with very limited memory though haha so a big Florida trip to enjoy all the new stuff there and actually remember it. Paris quite a few times throughout my life as it's pretty affordable and easy to reach from the UK, and of course Toyko!

I'd like to visit the other three to achieve the collection like they're infinity stones haha. California since it's the original one and Walt's vision, and Shanghai and Hong Kong for the Duffy stuff, cool castles, high tech rides and other unique stuff.

I love that your Facebook group has a ton of other people in it to discuss Phantom Manor in, that is so cool!!

Your cosplays of 'random, unaffiliated-with-Disney' characters are so amazing as well. I'm sure kids are delighted to see you, and it's wonderful that you can spread some of the magic and joy Disney has given you to others, through the Facebook group and through your own company!

I'm not a huge fan of scary rides, even still. Despite that, the past couple times I've been able to go to WDW, I rode Cosmic Rewind and the new Tron ride. Both are amazing. If you've grown more willing to go on rides, you will love those ones too. They're both pretty recent, but I think in terms of additions made in the past 10 years or so, those two shine brightly as some of the most fun new attractions.

Visiting Disneyland in California would be awesome, especially since you love Disney so much and truly appreciate the walking gallery aspect so much! And of course, at that point, it would almost feel wrong to not visit all the rest of the parks, right?

I do really love the Haunted Mansions, and even am interested in Mystic Manor, but yes Phantom Manor is my true love with it's French melodrama and operatic soundtrack haha, just so extra!

Thank you! It's literally the best job ever (for me at least)! I love working with kids even though I'm not a parent myself, they're just hilarious most of the time.

I'd LOVE to try out the Tron ride! I quite like thrill rides, and I love the idea of getting to sit on a light cycle. There's so much at WDW I need to do, all of Galaxy's Edge for a start since I'm a Star Wars nerd and so is my partner! Pandora looks so pretty! Plus EPCOT is SO different now from when I was a kid - and I'd love to meet Elsa
