Oh, I stopped getting notifications and this took off in the meantime! I'm glad to see it! ^^
Mario, Zelda, final fantasy…. right now I’m addicting to Minecraft dungeons.
Ohh, I've seen a bit of Dungeons. It looks fairly neat, but I haven't got it haha.
I would never consider myself a gamer but I do enjoy playing certain games sometimes. Like Pokémon snap(all the Pokémon games really, but I often don’t end up finishing them), Zelda Skyward Sword, smash brothers, Mario kart, and this one really old game called Zombies ate my neighbors. I play some games on my phone too but none right now. Oh and Wii Sports! That used to be fun, my brother and i competed to see who was best in tennis and baseball, but our wii stopped working years ago. My brothers are both big online gamers though and play a bunch of fps type games
Sounds like a retro/nintendo gamer to me hehe. competitive online FPS games have definitely taken off, but thankfully those are not the only options.
I used to play WoW back in the day for several years.
I moved from there to Lord of the Rings Online. I was always more interested in role-play (and solo exploration) on these platforms than game-play. It went further in LotRO, where I got into music, and was in some very successful on-line in-game bands. (LotRO had a system where you could write sheet music for multiple parts, then program them so that they could be played to an audience by a group of avatars - it added a wonderful new element to the RP!) I got to play in Weatherstock three times, and my band won first prize once.
Before that I liked puzzle games like Myst, and those phone/tablet games where you build a garden that gives you harvests on timers. Zombies vs. Plants occupied me one year. I currently only play Minecraft. But I have to watch out, because games and puzzles gobble up my time all too readily.
Switch -- I haven't made the transition to this platform yet. I have Discord though. I'm currently in a DnD game there.
Oh, that's really cool! I started to get really into Elsword, but my laptop at the time had heat management issues and kept shutting down when I tried to run it. To be honest it kinda breaks my heart that I didn't get to keep playing, I was fairly early to the game and now I've missed its growth over all these years. It was really fun at the time.
To be fair I'm not sure even my computer now could really handle it too awfully well either. My CPU's constantly at 100% with Minecraft, and that's with Optifine and in windowed mode.
Ahhhh, I'm kinda jelly of the D&D game haha. I've been trying to join one with my Love Nikki group for like a year, the DM unfortunately keeps having life things get in the way. I've still not gotten to play my first game. I've thought about jurry rigging a basic version of the game and starting one myself in the meantime, but I'm not sure I have the energy for that.
I used to do a lot of console games but not as much now days as I like to be in the same room as other people so I do computer gaming of phone games if I do it at all.
Most of my console games are PS1, PS2, X-Box 360, NES, and PS3, combined I have well over 100 games. The ones I liked the most are OG Spyro, Fallout 3 & New Vegas, Half-Life 2, Black, Left 4 Dead 1&2, Deadrising, and probably quite a few others.
OG Spyro is awesome haha, I've got the first three games but I have to say, the third one, Ripto's Rage, is definitely my favorite. The level design is just top notch. I love that they made the reignited trilogy as well, it looks fantastic! My one gripe is that I think they really messed up the day/night dogs by giving them normal teeth.
In that vein I'd actually have to add Neopets: The Darket Faerie. It's really, really poorly made but I love it, it's got a hint of an open world vibe going on and the gameplay is jank but fun. I actually think Minecraft could stand to learn from its battle system.
I don’t know if it counts, but E’s been getting into all the old board games and card games, plus some fun new card games.
Hehehe, I'd say it counts! Board and card games are a ton of fun.
I'm a hard core gamer coming from a family of hard core gamers.
My favorite genre of video games are jpg's (Japanese role playing games) but I'm willing to play anything that doesn't have jump scares in it!
My favorite game of all time is runefactory 4 and I'm absolutely obsessed with the rune factory series as a whole
I consider myself a portable gamer, It seems like I just can't keep my save files safe on group consoles!
Other games I enjoy include,
Fortnite (feel free to add me! my gamer tag is MintyMochiBunny)
Final fantasy series (my favorite is ff13 lighting is just so cool!
)
All Atelier games (though I've yet to play more than the one on psp lol)
The tails of series (I really love the opining for the 3ds port of the abyss game!)
Persona 4 (awesome series! I've only played personaQ 1 on 3ds so far )
Pokemon (My favorites are alpha sapphire, and purl)
Little big planet (played the psp port to death! )
I've been really wanting to play the danganronpa series.
(I generally prefer to play game's in group's, by series.)
I also enjoy farming Sims like stardew valley
Some other amazing games I love are,
ni no kuni wrath of the white witch, (It's on my backlog pile)
Tokyo mirage sessions (I was obsessed with getting as many trophies in the first play through as possible!)
And so many many more!
for mobile I play the dress up game love Nikki, every night before bed for almost 5 years now lol
Ohhh, I didn't mention it in mine but Tales of the Abyss is a big one for me as well! I didn't mention it though because Luke is just about the only thing I like about it, I find a lot of the other characters quite grating but I say this after having beaten the 30+ hour game like three or four times, with a similar count for anime marathons. But Luke will probably end up as a figure on my shelf one day. Tear is the only other character I kinda like, but she's just got one flaw that does her in for me.
I actually have ff13 as well and still have yet to play it.
Oh, and Love Nikki too haha, I just mentioned that a moment ago. I play Shining Nikki as well. ^^ I'm actually a guild admin in both, owning one and helping in another. xD
I’ve been gaming through it all! Back when we still had arcades, we had an Atari, and a 386 PC with so many fun games. Then I’ve also played several games on nes, snes, n64, PlayStation, Dreamcast, ps2, Xbox, wii, ps3, oh game boy (original, pocket, color, and 3-d), degas game gear, saga genesis, and now we have the switch and 2ds. My mother has been playing WOW with my brother nightly since it came out. I played Diablo and Diablo 2 of the newer oc games, but I haven’t been able to afford a gaming computer. Ever. Not high on my list.
That's quite the background! My platform history consists of PC, Sega Genisis, Gameboy Color, PS1, PS2, X-Box 360, 3DS, 3DS XL, Wii U (with only Shantae, it had awful latency so I abandoned it), and more PC, roughly in order.
Fun fact every controller with the exception of the n64, and the switch, was developed and manufactured in house by Nintendo.
They outsourced on n64, and switch, and can you guess which Nintendo controllers have a history of failure in the joysticks?
Just saying lol
That's hilarious, I knew about the issues with it but I didn't know that factoid.
I can't believe they were able to wright an update that automatically adjusts to each individual joycons drift using a mathematical calculation that tells it to drift slightly the other way to null the drift that is already there!
It's not perfect but it works!
As I understand it that's actually completely standard. I've heard from big tech fans that
all joysticks will inevitably drift, so it's always up to the software to account for it.
