I want to list these online to sell for a friend. However I’m not sure what I have here. These figures are about 2 1/4 inches tall by 2 1/4 inches long by 1 1/4 inches wide. The head swivels left to right. Eyes have three eyelashes on top and two eyelashes on bottom. No emblems on either side. Nothing on bottom of hooves except one has MADE IN and the other has CHINA. Are these real or are these fakies 4AF72A51-C5C7-4AE4-B85A-839EBFEC1321.jpeg3259243F-610A-4099-9AE4-A3B2162521E5.jpegE39C5906-D340-4EB3-84BF-05829DA16A42.jpeg? Cute little fakies. :)

What is it about them that makes them fake?
Real my little ponies will have "Hasbro" on one of their hooves/feet. :)

Heres a link to these exact fakies on the fakie hideout website. Its a good resource for identifying fakies. :satisfied:

their molds are based/taken off of G1 (generation 1) baby molds- yet the overall quality of the pony is lesser and made with cheaper materials. the eyes are a completely different style and theres no symbol on their rumps. most G1s would say something along the lines of "(Made in) Hong Kong" or have a Hasbro trademark on the bottom of their hooves, and all G1s (with the exception of baby Ember) have some sort of symbol on their rump

this is G1 newborn Shaggy, and baby Ember for example- both official my little ponies- feel free to compare and contrast :)

Are the tails rooted? While the eyeshadow and eye size and placement are signs of fakies, as well as the markings on the feet not being right and them not directly matching any official ponies on the My Little Wiki, I'm very curious about these particular fakies since they're pretty darn cute!

Oh wow, I could see them being great practice for customs if they're still around at any dollar stores!

What makes them fake is they weren't made by Hasbro. Though they're still super cute! ;) The company that made them took a real newborn pony and used it to create a mold. Then they made their own ponies, which are bootlegs.

I've seen a lot of people use them for custom ponies, they're perfect for that!

Fake My Little Pony Fakies G1 Newborn Ponies Lot Of 12 DG Dollar General Bait

SOLD

Fakies G1 Newborn Ponies Lot Of 12 DG Dollar General Bait. I'm offering a lot of 12 Dollar General ponies that are adorable for play or for artists who customize them. These are fake My Little Ponies in the same mold as the Generation 1 newborn ponies. These are a bit hard to find since Dollar General has stopped making them years ago. They are really adorable and each comes with a brush or comb. Condition: Used, Condition: These little colorful ponies are adorable and have been stored together in a box...some may have slight imperfections. Some may have a little staining by being stored next to others of a different color...but they have never been played with. They still have the plastic around their necks., Brand: Dollar General See More

Because they're made by a company other then Hasbro, but they are not made by another big toy company. They're made by small ones that produce cheap toys of various types. Although they may use tweaked moulds.

So as an example in the world of colorful plastic horses:

A Hasbro or Basic Fun produced pony is the real deal.

A Remco or Zuru Fashion Girlz Unicorn is a fakie.

A Strawberry Shortcake horse and Bratz Horse is not a fakie. Although some regard big name company horses as such, that would be erroneous.

The Fakie Hideout is a good website.
