It seems I somehow have accidentally deleted it so here is a repost of it.

Sweet Steps has gone on a journey. Thank you very much for the advice for cleaning her on the first post about her!
Here is a picture of when I first found her while learning my loft compared to now:

Her hair was super matted and hard when I found her. It probably doesn’t look it but it was next to impossible to brush out before I gave her hair and tail a wash. It’s still quite puffy now but brushable. I’m still learning to fix puffy pony hair.

After taking her apart (I linked to the post in case anyone wanted to see the pictures) I removed her stuffing to stitch up the front legs where I cut them open. Since her body was inside out from the stitching and empty, I tucked her tail in one of the back legs and thought I’ll try her in the washing machine. The black dots (pictures in the first link) were still on her but not as visible on the outside anymore. I tried to surface wash her to see if it would help clear them but it didn’t. At least she’s got a clean skin now.
The stuffing seemed clean but I gave it a spray with apple-smelling disinfectant just in case and to make it smell nice too.

Once that was done, I stitched her back up and restuffed her. It’s probably the best stuffing I’ve managed to do on a toy. The head is attached the same way as it was originally, with zipties. I had to use two because mine weren’t long enough. Once I put them in, I finished sewing her up.

Here are her pictures:

I am pleased with how she’s turned out. If I had some beanie bags, I would’ve put them in her hooves. Her front legs are a shorter than her back ones because the way she was originally. I expected her legs to flop about a bit more like when I first took the plastic out.

She is now very huggable! :ponylove:

Oh, and inside her head smells like strong paint/plastic. I tried to clean it out too to make the smell go away but it came back the next day. It’s fine though, I can’t smell it now she’s all back together again.

She looks awesome! How long did it take for you to fix her? Congrats! Thank you for posting!

Thank you!
I’m not exactly sure how long it took... I found her back back in April. After saving her, all I did after finding her was clean and brush out her hair and tail then cleaned her face and head. It had a lot of brown dots. Luckily I knew how to clean them, my Styling G3 Rainbow Dash had a lot of those. The rest of the things I did was this month

If I was to put the days I fixed her together, I’d say at least a week, maybe less?

Great work. She looks fantastic!.
