To be honest I'm more curious about this whole deal of them passing along suggestions... >u> I do like the sound of that, and I'm wondering what suggestion you gave them.

And what suggestion I would give them if I could....

Still though, hoping for some ponies I'd be interested in! Maybe TAFs, or sparkle, maybe flutters or sea ponies... I'd be shocked if they did sweetheart sisters. Ohh, or the colorswirl ponies! Or the family sets.... I'd be so into them remaking the family sets. Or even imagine if they made the cast of MLP Tales, the originals are like a regional thing that's hard to get right? It would be sooooo nice if BF made the Tales cast so they were more accessible. Pony bride would be nice too.....

One thing that I do wish toy brands would do when doing these retro lines is expand the line rather than just copy it. I want new ponies! I'm really happy with HQG1C's, but my eyes will always be hungry to see even more new G1 designs. Especially if it's babies, TAF's, or big brothers.

But ooh, @Glistening Rainlight ! I would SO love to see Tales and colorswirls!

That's missing the point of a retro line. It is meant to make money through re-releasing people's childhood toys exactly as they were. Besides we're very, very lucky. We have HQG1C for new ponies. How many toy fanbases have projects like that? It's awesome.

Ah, you're right. The only other fanbase that has a big 3rd party market that I'm aware of is transformers. From what I understand, it doesn't have Hasbro's official blessing or anything but they sort of turn a blind eye to it.

But yeah I do agree that we are very lucky! Perhaps eventually Pony's third party market will become something similar with multiple makers out there. It's really exciting to walk through TFcon and look at all the varying designs makers are coming out with.

Anyway, this is getting very off-topic, sorry! I'm just really looking forward to seeing new designs in the future - Basic Fun or otherwise!

Actually I kinda hope it doesn't. Have you seen the prices for some of those 3rd party TFs? Holy cannoli!

There was a petition a while back for them to do this, specifically regarding the celestial ponies that only exist as concept art, and the company declined. So I wouldn't hold out hope for anything that wasn't released, and specifically which wasn't released in the US. ;)

Yeah, I remember the push for the celestial ponies and it is a shame it didn't work out, but completely understandable. Behind the scenes there's probably many reasons for why they're avoiding new ponies, but it's still a bit of a bummer.

Seeing as some of you wrote to Basic Fun giving them recommendations, I decided to do the same. I sent them some positive feedback and thanked them for bringing our nostalgic memories back to life, as well as asked if they could eventually release those beautiful flutter ponies we saw in the past, as well as possibly work on some sea ponies too. They did not respond in words but they did heart my Messenger message, so I hope my feedback reaches the right people. Fingers crossed :flutter2:

You never know what will happen. When the first original main six CP were released, I wrote to BF and asked for Applejack and then she was released twice. It never hurts to be polite and thank a company for the things they have released too.

for the life of me, i was sitting here thinking that "CP" meant cabbage patch -facepalm- lol..
but no, its collectors pose, my brain had a fart there for a second lol

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but for those in Europe John Lewis in the UK is carrying some of the TE Pony repros. A friend of mine bought Sweet Stuff for me from there as a gift to bring it over during her summer vacation

I got my Fizzy from Rarewaves, they ship for cheap to most countries in Europe and globally. Only problem they don’t provide a tracking number. They often seem to be sold out but they occasionally restock.

I didn’t know there were some G3 reproductions. It’ll never happen but I wish we were getting some G2s. Once again the forgotten generation
