G1 Beddy Bye Ponies- Yay or Neigh?

I have 2 G1 Beddy Bye Ponies. and I am undecided if I hate them or love them. I am torn if I want to attempt to remove the eyes and mold eyes to them and paint, or if I should sell them. I have Baby Gusty and Baby Ribbon. Both eyes work and doesn't look too rusted

I am also torn because they are G1s and not sure if I'd regret customising or selling either.

What are your thoughts on BBE ponies? Do you love them? Hate them? Discuss!

I like them! Its up to your personal taste and what you want to do. Theyre a bit weird but theyre still a pony and a different kind of gimmick. To me they feel like a piece of pony history to have them. Thats only my personal feelings though, and I dont see anything wrong with if someone else doesnt Iike them. We all have the right to curate our collections in the way we want.

I personally like them and agree with @strawberrypony32 that they are a good piece of history. If they are still in good shape and in good working order I suggest keeping them but it's your collection of course. Who knows, they might grow on you.

they are in good shape, the body is in great shape without marks. the hair is a mess and Im trying to figure out how to condition them without getting the eyes wet. Maybe once the hair is fixed I'd like them better?

You two are right, it is a part of history and it would be a shame to customise it away.

But I own them all cause they're G1 and that's what I collect. There are a few sets I'm not crazy about but I would agree with the others. If they're in good shape I wouldn't customize. There are plenty of bait ponies out there to do that on, they don't make G1 anymore so they'll just get harder to find and someone may love to have the bulging eyed demons LOL Keep them and see if they grow on you and if not sell them would be my advice

I like 1, maaaaybe 2. The rest are creepy to me. I've seen some very nice customs of them being given normal eyes, and twinkle eyes. I say, they're your ponies and if you feel you'd like them better with normal eyes and you've got the skills, go for it. Alternately, you could trade/sell them in for ponies you like better, since they're in good condition.

two of them actually didnt have any eyes at all! but then i gave them some by stuffing tissues in their eyesockets and drawing a iris with a pen on it lol

i generally don't like the look of them. it's mostly the eyes, but also the weird necks and the hair that seems to stick straight up on some of them. but i actually really like frosting, her colors and symbol are so cute!

Naaaay. Sleepy eyed dolls are not my jam. Especially when one of the eyes break. Super creepy lol

If they are in good condition I say sell/trade them for ones with bad eyes. Then you can fix them without worrying you're ruining them.

i really don't care for them and i don't actively seek them out for my collection, but i do keep the ones that have made their way into my hands. i may not like them but fate decided they're mine now ;P

I really used to not like BBEs now I since I have mostly all of them I love sleepy pie the best followed by gusty, lofty, and heart throb.

Now that I took th etime to clean them up more and tried to tame the hair so it doesn't look like a wild bed-head, they're sorta growing on me. I don't hate them anymore, lol
