So I was in Walmart Monday evening and I noticed that they had Wave 3 Blind Bags in. I was thinking "Cool!" Then I noticed the travisty... out of the 15 bags in the box, 11 were open and the ponies stolen, 2 more were open with the pony still in them (I figured they were doubles of ones they already stole), and 3 more were still closed. So I bought the 3 sealed ones and 1 of the open ones. When I checked out, I told the cashier about it and she said she'd let someone know and have it taken care of.

So I went back last night and noticed that the same empty Wave 3 bags were still there, but now there were several of the Wave 1 bags open and empty. There were a few of the ponies laying in the bottom of the box, too.

I couldn't believe that someone would steal them. Some people just have no morals what so ever. I wonder if Walmart is going to do anything about it or not. I know there's really nothing they can do about the "robbers" but maybe they can keep a better eye on things. They have cameras, for goodness sake!

Same down here, only I'm pretty sure that they were wave 1 in my walmart ... I grabbed two of the four that were still sealed. It's disgusting that people do that stuff.... and then have the nerve to wonder why prices climb.

Yes that's unfortunately a very common problem ;~; and it's sad because they're only hurting themselves! If this becomes a big enough problem stores may just decide to stop stocking blind bags so they're not bleeding money =(

It is absolutely amazing what people manage to steal at Walmart. I worked there and I once found a box for a Wii remote! How the heck did they 1. get it from the locked pegs and 2. manage to get it out of the box without anyone noticing? Many do it at night when there are fewer people and drop the packaging in a different part of the store behind other merchandise. I even found an empty package of little girls underwear.

Its like that at our walmart too. but now they are near the cashiers. Is the Wave 3 in the USA now?

Lol, I've never seen anything stolen from mlp.
My brother used to work at Wal-Mart and told me that people steal things like beer and alcohol. They one time stole toilet paper! xD

It is sad but true :( I work in retail and people steal anything to everything. Kids will open toys and take them. They don't know what they are doing and parents won't buy them. Some girl opened up a disney figurine set and sole 1/3 the package. I saw her with them in hand but I was in one part of the store and the mom didn't even take them away, not to mention my co-workers did not notice!

People steal food, batteries (2 from a pack) and yes toilet paper from the bathroom! Some stores lock it up! They should move the blind bags to the front where there is high traffic.

I know for a fact Walmart and Kmart both have security cameras, and they DO put you in jail if they catch you. It isn't worth going to jail for. I hope no one on this forum would do that.

I feel the same way about illegal drug use, even if it's just *********. It's not worth going to jail for! I can't believe people risk jail just so they can get high.

*Steps off of soapbox*

I work at a walmart in the toy department and you wouldn't believe the stuff I have seen stolen and I actually know where the robbers hide most of the packaging now.

I've found everything from empty pop cans to video games/dvds that looked unopened, but had a slight opening and the disc was gone, to hunting knives... *Shudders* That had still dripping blood on them and a small trail of blood leading away from the site.

And that's not counting the toys I have found, one time there was this guy with his kid, and he took a toy car out of it's package so the kid could play with it. And then he got mad at me when I told him he couldn't take it out of the box without paying for it. He said he'd pay for it....and then kid broke it, and they put it back on the shelf!!! :gonnagetit:

And yeah, blind bags are always getting opened, we seem to have a blind bag Lego thief, opens a whole bunch of legos, and then takes only a handful of the ones they want. Leaving opened lego baggies everywhere. I make sure all the parts are there and then tape the bags back up if I can.

Re:

o_O I had no clue people did this, however I can't say I'm all that surprised.

I've found Blind Bags in 3 different stores nearby, a toystore in Copenhagen Denmark and in 2 different Coop Forum which is a huge chain here that has everything from food to clothes, toys and even motorbikes XD
And I've never seen a single opend Blind Bag even though it would be very easy to sneak around with it considering where they are in the store.
Guess they're not popular enough around here for people bothering with stealing them :p

However I do know how people can steal anything that isn't litteraly nailed to the floor >.< I used to work in a toystore and it happend on several occations I found empty boxes of things laying around. I worked in a jewellry store after that that was robbed 3 times within 2 years. And then I mean proper robbery, not just sneaking things in their pockets. So yeh, people will stop at absolutely nothing to get what they want even if they can't pay for it.

Not surprising. People are so pathetically self centered.

Now to think of it, I went to Kmart, and the toy aisle there is all a mess (balls everywhere, boxes on the floor, trash, things in the wrong place) , and many packages were open, and the wrappers of toys like blind bags.

hmph.. selfish people are horrid creatures!

and clearly they dont know they can discern which ponies are in which bags
by the "number system".

need to call that walmart, talk to a supervisor... tell them about it.
the cashier could careless!

I saw this with the wave 3 blind bags at TRU, the bags were open and some had no ponies in it and some still had the ponies in them but were open.

Well, I checked again a few nights ago and they didn't even have the wave 3 box out anymore and the wave 1 box only had a few unopened bags.

I've never seen anything else besides food items and sodas/waters open and the packaging left laying around. I know they have cameras. I think they think that they make enough money that something that costs $1.97 isn't really worth their time to worry about. Geez...

Worst thing I ever saw was a lady and her toddler come into the shop, toddler had a bag of pick n mix sweets, she walks around to frozen section, opens the freezer, gets out a ten pack of frozen mice (reptile food), kid opens the bag, she shoves them in and then off they go. This was all caught on CCTV and she was caught outside the shop so justice was served. But begs the question what sort of scum is that little child going to grow up to become?!

I've seen so many Wave 1 bags opened in the store. I always assume people didn't want to pay the $2 for the pony. This is off topic, but why did the US skip Wave 2?
