Hey all, let's start on 7/15.
There are 321 pages and 41 chapters. What if we try for a chapter a day (since they are short)? We can check in each day if so inclined, but since many of us don't have lives that are conducive to that, we can plan to check in about the first 7 chapters on Saturday 7/22. We can also check in if the pace is too fast or too slow.

Does that work for everyone?
I will post thoughts and discussion prompts, but I'm not like... in charge...hopefully others will also contribute.

I got a library copy! I loved her shiver series.
 
Cool! I commute on the bus every day, so I can read my chapter then :D
 
I can commit to a chapter a day!! I will look for the book or get it digitally!! Yay I'm excited about this! Are you going to join us @Tak
 
Sounds fun! I just requested it to my nearest library along with the movie Brave, because I've never seen it! This is a great excuse to check it out. I'll look forward to the book discussion!
 
Found one at the library! Altho its due on the 31st ill reknew it as much as I can! Ima try anyway haha. Ill make it work :D

Yeah, we might be able to do faster, but I was trying to be sensitive to people's concerns about pacing.

ETA: This is available with Kindle Unlimited.
 
Lucky for me the library had a digital copy. I do only get to keep it for three weeks, so I may be ahead. I will wait for prompts and keep some notes in case my head gets full. ;)

Yea definitely!! I wasnt rushing, ill make it work dont worry! <3 Even if I have to check it out again lol. I cant afford to buy anything since I just got a new job I dont get paid for a while and i started mid pay period so it's a smaller check even when I do. So public library it is! :rofl: I could even check out the digital copy so i dont think itll be a problem.

Most library’s will let you return it and borrow it again right after when your renewals run out as long as nobody else is waiting to read it so hopefully you can :)


I asked my library if they can borrow it from another library cause they don’t have it, we’ll see if they can

Mine is the kindle book from the library, so I never know if it will be on hold or available when the loan ends. I could use E’s account to put a hold on it, but I don’t like being sneaky.

Many libraries have a service called "interlibrary loan" - where if that specific library system doesn't own that book, they can borrow it from another library system. It takes a little while longer to get the book, but see if that is an option at your local library!

I checked the online system for all my county libraries :) Futuristic!
