Costume share

I haven't trick or treated in like 30 years :(
I took E trick or treating last year, just the two of us, and people kept thinking I was E’s sister… mind, E was wearing a rather form fitting costume, but I was at my peak weight, wearing a cape, and leggings with cats…. I do not look 13. I hope it’s okay. I was feeling… not ugly… in my festive tunic today. Not the best picture, but it has the outline of a cat in a witches hat on it.

made a harness and lots of padding then based the body using chickenwire to frame it and papermache to build around than craft fur. legs were jointed wood with padding to make them 3-D but move-able to her legs. Thankfully had engineer-type hubby to help up the ante on my arts-n-craft build. If I had to do again I would cannibalize a backback base ...

for the griffin, I bought a cowardly lion suit, than made the mask - paper mache again - and made the moveable wings using wood, craft fur and lots of turkey feathers. Pretty sure I bought the rubber glove claws as well than just added a feather boa edge.

As you can guess, I love love love dress up and halloween :)

and because my son couldn't just be a regular ol' pokemon like pikachu...

YESSS I love elaborate, engineered costume builds so much! This is the kind of thing I was always trying to do as a kid and only started getting really determined about it in high school when the informal halloween costume contest brought out my superdrive  That's when I made a posture-correct (at the time) velociraptor, a full ewok fursuit, and coincidentally, a white-winged gryphon!!

I think this is super cute pic!

I definitely have been over the socially accepted age for trick-or-treating for quite some time, lol..
so now I cosplay at conventions MUAHAHAHA :p

You asked for it!!

My sweet boi Frank 2004-2019 :pumpkin: They aren't in order so you'll notice his brown fade back and forth. He lived 15 years and I dressed him up every year, although the first 2 were just halloween tee shirts. I wish I could find a picture of his first puppy Halloween but we didn't have smart phones back then LOL

I'm about ready to be a dog mom again but next puppers better like wearing clothes too  Frank was such a ham, he loved the extra attention so he was usually excited to dress up and pose, though I recall him not being thrilled with his Michael Jackson wig LOL
oh my goodness those are all so adorable! I can't pick just one - love michael jackson, superdog, ghostbuster and the "couple" theme ;-) sucha wonderful memories I am sure

and I agree when ya "outgrow" halloween it is onto cosplay ;-)

These are incredible costumes. There is too much cuteness.

Ohh he looks adorable in ALL of them! And so happy too, my puppy Biscuit would wear festive collars but anything else was a big no.

I do have this baby picture of my little Twig in a witch hat on his first Halloween
