First one...
Made for my frIend's daughter as a Christmas present but never delivered....stupid COVID.
Sigh...one day....
MOM runs a skin care company that uses calendula flower as an ingredient, so I made this tailless, maneless dirty dumpster salvage into a "Marigold". Seemed appropriate

Very pretty!!! So....what did you paint her with ;)
I used a spray paint primer and made her a uniform cream-white. Then I used plain acrylic paint and sponged it on to get the gradient I liked. I used a cheap black nail polish to get the shiny hoof look. Then 2 coats of clear spray to seal her. I did my usual trick of using white glue to keep the eyes pristine and took that off with hot water once it was done.

Thanks for the education, I’m trying to learn a little more about customizing and your paint looks so smooth :)

Next one...I've had this in mind for a while to use up some "leftovers" and stretch my imagination a little...
Got started with the lilac base today

Rehairing with a combo of Tree Frog, Thistle and Bunny nylon - the hardest part is attaching each "plug" to the cardboard insert that replaces the original mane plastic insert
Paint is a combo of spray lacquer, acrylic and nail polish
I'm not super pleased about her very pink eyeliner so I have a plan to tone those down. The nail polish also caused the base layer of paint to haze (normally I just tape them off but I got lazy and sprayed the whole body) BUT I liked the effect and leaned into it....now she has crazy hooves that almost look faceted

She's not spoken for
This was literally a project for my mental health...which currently includes escapism of the crafting kind...lol
