First flea market trip in over a year...good finds!

I've been taking a break from flea-marketing this past year and a half. I had a big burn-out from collecting. Today me and my mom decided to head out to a big flea market. There were tons of ponies, but I could only afford the ones I didn't have (plus one double to trade). They still need to be cleaned, too. So, here is what I came home with!

There is a mommy charm and two G1 McD's clips to finish off that collection, and a mommy charm too! There is also a watch, but broke. The white Valentine twin is up for trade for anyone who is interested!

But, these are the best of the bunch. Two ponies I thought I would never acquire in my lifetime!

She is such a beauty! She was priced at ten dollars, but the person selling her knew me, so he gave me a bargain. And, last but certainly not least....

Angel! I never dreamed I would find her, and just for two dollars! She needs some major cleaning. Any tips on what I could so to make her pretty again?

Is that a princess variant? Or does taffeta really have a blue tail? IS it just me or is it a variant? You found some awesome ponies. I'm alittle jealous :wink: I want your peeks and puddles. lol
 
Haha, at first I thought so. But, I don't think varients of princesses were sold in the US....but I could definently be wrong. I think someone just switched tails. :lol: It's in there pretty firm....yet there is a loose tail washer (is that what they are called?) bouncing around in her.

Yeah you may be right. She still looks werid to me. But anyway what an awesome find. SS angel. You lucky thing you. I would think if the tail washer is loose than someone put a new tail in her. But if the tail washer is really on good. Then its a variant. But than again it would be hard to prove she is one if only her tail is different.

It's really easy to put the washer on firmly, actually... so that's not saying a lot. It could be a variant though! If you found it at a flea market, I'd say there's a huge chance that it is. That's just what I think though.

Yep, it's very tight. I looked on some sites for princess variants, but I can't seem to find one like her. Should I post about this in the general discussion?

I'd post just to see everyone elses opinion on your princess. Wouldn't it be cool to find out you have a variant? :wink:
 
The tail of the prinecess-pony looks very long. Longer as the tail of most G1 ponies. Some of the primcess-variants do have a very long tail, too. That makes me thinking that she is a variant.

:shock: Yowza! That Valetine's Twin looks to be in spiffy condition. I am so jealous! All the ones I find are grungy and sporting buzzcuts.
Nice work on that haul, thumbs up!
 
I would have hyperventilated finding so many ponies! Those are awesome! Congrats on finding so many. Somehow finding ponies at garage sales, thrift stores, flea markets, etc. is so much more exciting than eBay finds. :)
 
Wow, there's some fabulous finds there! I would love to find Angel! Not to mention a Windy!!

If you have a bleach pen, that works well on SS's.
 
wow! congrats! You found alot of great ponies. I wish I had that kind of luck.
 
And you said there was even more than that?? Wow! Yeah, Taffeta looks like she could be a variant, but sometimes you never know... Either way, she looks good with the blue tail :).
