So a friend of mine got these in a lot of pony and other 80s themed toys from an estate sale and we can't decide what they go to. Thoughts?

The style of the hair looks like Lady Lovely Locks, rather than MLP. But I have never seen clips like those before.

Is there such a thing as fakie Lady Lovely Locks?
The tails definitely have a LLL look to them, but the animal half dosen't look either mlp or LLL.
Or maybe 80's hair acessories that mimic the mlp or Lady lovely locks trends. Are they small enough for toys/dolls?

Still pretty cool though.

I searched several hours and I think the horse one is a Barbie horse accessory. Otherwise my thought was fakies, other Barbie stuff, bratz, or even just from hair accessory collections?

What about Fashion Star Fillies? I can't remember if they have accessories like that, but the tails kinda remind me of the Fashion Star Fillies manes and tails.

Nope. None of the Fashion Star Fillies came with those accessories. I'm guessing maybe it was LLL fakie or maybe play makeup kit.
 
@Apple Spice a play make up kit is a good thought.

I looked up 90s hair acessories and they were all srunchies and butterfly clips lol.

Is it possible they are not 80s acessories? And just got thrown in because they are toy stuffs? They do have major 80s vibes though.
