What is your favorite Halloween memory?

Mine is:
One year i was a ghost for halloween, but after we were done trick or treating, my dad put on my costume (it only covered like, half of him lol, like a shirt) and then he tried to "scare" some teenagers that were walking down the street, but he couldnt see cause the mask was too small and he fell on the ground and it was hilarious lol

and thats one of my fave Halloween memories!

It wasn’t actually on Halloween but near it, my family went to fright fest at Six Flags Great Adventure and it was really fun. Lots of spooky trails to walk, a haunted house, decorations and monster actors everywhere, halloweeny shows/music and a big blood fountain in the center :satisfied:

I've got a great fairly recent Halloween memory. I made E an angel costume when she was 3. She also wore it when she was 4. Organza, lots of silver trim, white and silver bodice with empire waist, white and silver wings with white feathers along the top, a silver and white feather boa halo, and white pants and long sleeve shirt to stay warm underneath. I've made her other costumes since then, but she'll always be my angel. <3

Aww that sounds very cute, my mom used to make parts of costumes for me too and they were some of my favorites :D

I was always an early trick or treater so I could hurry back to help my Nana hand out candy, that has always something I truly enjoyed at Halloween. I remember one year we had so many trick or treaters that Nana was scrambling to find stuff to give, she gave pennies and then ended up popping popcorn and putting it in plastic baggies :Glowpump: we finally had to just turn off the lights.

I adore Halloween. I have so many good memories. When I was a little kid, it rained on Halloween and we couldn't go trick-or-treating so my parents made my brother and me a Halloween party in our house. My mom set up apple-bobbing and made popcorn balls with molasses and peanuts, and my dad hid behind the couch and put candy and little toys on a fishing line and we would "catch" it. It was the best Halloween ever, and those things eventually became traditions.

When I was at culinary school I worked for the dean of student events, and I got to plan an epic Halloween party for the entire school.

My husband and I got married two days before Halloween, so our very first Halloween we invited all our friends over to our tiny house for a costume party. We pulled out all the stops with food and decorations. It was the best party, and then we left for our honeymoon the next morning.

Oh, for those of us slightly older ponies...

Do you remember wearing those little sheet plastic Halloween costumes that came with a plastic mask? I think I was a Care Bear one time (I always wanted to be Cheer Bear), and maybe Strawberry Shortcake. We always tried to get my mom to buy us those costumes every year. Sometimes she would and sometimes she would make us something out of stuff we had at home :)

I remember those! I never had one.

I was Annabelle the proper version in a Halloween zombie parade and I won 1st place.

Another one of my fave halloween memories is "Mr.Pumpkin Head" He is this dummy that we set out every year. My dad made him!

His head used to light up, but we it hasnt for a long time. But my dad took a pair of his old work clothes and some old boots and made mr.pumpkin heads body, oh and some gloves for his hands. And a plastic light up pumpkin for his head! once we get him out ill take a pic and post him here!

Weve had him for YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARS

@Recyclebella yes, I do remember those and had the G1 MLP one. I'd love to find a picture of me in it. I still have one of the masks I bought off ebay years ago.

When I was in elementary school I remember my parents doing a Halloween party for me and friends one year. We watched Garfield's Halloween special *candy, candy, candy* and my Dad had decorated the inside of the garage all up as a hunted house. It was lots of fun. Typically though, growing up it would be me and a few neighborhood friends trick or treating through the neighborhood for a couple hours in homemade costumes. Those were the days, none of this trunk or treat or parents driving you around. We'd make our costumes and go out ourselves in a small group and do every house in the walkable area, then turn around and do it again LOL and we play and get into mischief until it got too dark to see. We'd go to one of our houses and sort and count and trade candy. I could drive to my old neighborhood now, 30 years later and tell you which house gave out the full size candy bars LOL and which gave out the apples and oranges
