hi all! My name is Kelly. I live in Alabama, US, but am originally from Maine. I'm new (I think) to the site, but not to collecting. I primarily collect g1's, but have some g3's, too.

I grew up with g1's, but lost my childhood collection when I was in high school (donated to a younger cousin).

I started collecting in the late 90's through early 2000's. Stopped around 2003/2004 when my youngest was born. I think I had around 100, but not completely sure as they are still packed away in a box.

Waiting on my oldest to move out next month, then I'll pull them back out, reclean, organize & catalog them again. THEN I will get back to collecting. But I've been bitten by the bug again & started browsing sites, Instagram & eBay. :)

I may have been on this site way back when (I remember the Delaneys), but I must have gotten a new email address since then. Anyway, just wanted to say "hello!"

welcome to the board and especially welcome back to collecting again, Kelly! You'll have such fun going through all your Ponies and setting them up, you'll need to buy them lotsa lovely new friends. What fun!
 
Thank you, all! I'm so excited to be "back"!

Anxiously awaiting next month. My sons room will be where I display. Not super excited about him moving out, but it gives me a positive aspect of it to look forward to!
 
Its always nice to meet new people with the MLP collecting bug. I guess you are going to be making yourself a pony room? How exciting.
 
Yes, well, it's a larger room, so I'll get a portion of the room. My husband has plans for the room, as well. I suspect we may disagree a smidge on who gets how much. LOL
 
Man, I'm going crazy! I found a box full of my G1's. Cataloged them and started cleaning them, getting them ready to display ( I was just too impatient to wait until December 15, when the room becomes available).

There were about 80 or so G1's along with some G2's (a lot MIB, including 3 Sea Breezes). But...I'm SURE there were more. I CANNOT FIND THE OTHER BOX! My house isn't even that big, but as I've started looking for it, there seems to be forgotten boxes in almost every closet (we moved in in 2007). I KNOW I had a Cotton Candy, Lemon Drop & Sun Beam, but they are nowhere to be found.

I did find some in my daughter's room (she's 11). Including a Sea Star that I had obtained MOC (and the card had Backstroke's name, instead of Sea Star). That. She. OPENED. *crying* Apparently that had happened a few years ago. After telling her about how the card had the wrong name on it, she now regrets it, I think she opened it a few years ago. I must have been at work, I have no recollection of this. But, it's done. I'm not terribly broken up about it, but...ugh, of all the MOCs that I have for her to have opened....

In other news, I think I need to reclean/organize, my entire house. All of these boxes I have been able to get to and look in...it's all stuff we really don't need anymore. There's so much stuff!! I wish it were yard sale season! LOL I feel like a hoarder!
 
I find that the more I clean my house the bigger mess I make! I go to find one Pony or item and have to pull out fourteen boxes. Then I realize that they won't fit back in the place I pulled them from, so I pile them elsewhere and the stacks just grow! My house is a tardis.
 
Hi, It's nice to meet you, I love the G1's too & also have some G3's working their way into my collection :)
