I joined in 2008. But I didn’t start posting topics and comments until 2010. It seems to suggest the last time I posted something was in 2012. I became much more active on Mlp Arena in 2009. A horror film had terrified me and I needed something light-hearted to calm me down. I abandoned My Little Pony Trading Post because at that time, I liked Arena more. Of course I came back though like I said between 2010-2012, just not actively. On a side note, I’m not a collector. I’m just a G1 fan who had the toys in my childhood and watched the cartoons. I used to enjoy roleplaying on Arena until they decided to ban roleplaying. That drove us (me and few others) off site to find other G1 My Little Pony Role Play Games elsewhere on the internet. When Arena had close and move to another location, I became less active because compared to the original forums which was full of life, this new location seemed less exciting and very boring. I’m guessing a lot of ex-Arena members returned to Trading Post? I came back to Trading Post for a bit and then left because I was bored.
I had a change of interest and started looking for Disney or Star Wars or The Dark Crystal forums. Tried different ones out but didn’t find a permanent home until 2017 when I joined Fanpop and became a regular active member of the Disney Princess Fanclub until a few months ago when it became less active with lots of regular members leaving. The only people who go on there since then are newcomers, trolls, lurkers and occasionally an ex-regular who hasn’t visited the club in years, might drop in for a quick chat. Yep, it’s a dead club.
In 2014, I was depressed and wanted to get G1 Ponies that I wanted but never had as a child. Mum found a second hand seller and bought me Milky Way, Galaxy and Princess Amethyst. I love G1 Unicorns! I only remember having Majesty and Twirler as a child. But I lost Majesty unfortunately somehow. Galaxy is my favourite character in the tv show. But the toy version of her clashed with the colours in my room - purple, fuchsia pink and aqua. Galaxy was the UK version. Plus her eyes freaked me out. What is wrong with me? As a child and teenager I loved twinklE eyed ponies the cartoon and the toy version, I thought they were beautiful. But now whilst they’re still beautiful to me, their eyes scare me. Or maybe it’s just Galaxy’s eyes, specifically the colour of them. If you’ve seen haunted house or possessed toy horror movies, you’ll know what I’m talking about. Her eyes were scary and her colour scheme clashed with the room so we resold her and someone bought her.
Fast forward a few years and I got Princess Misty. Then a few months after that I got Starflash. A few years later I got the special 25th anniversary version of Windy - she is scented and smells like cherries. And then more recently I got the special 25th anniversary version of Glory. My bedroom colours have changed but let’s just say Princess Misty and Starflash are my favourite ones at the moment and they compliment the room and it’s pictures nicely. Got a purple, pink and blue theme. The rest of the ponies except for Glory have been put away in a box. Glory is on the dressing table with deluxe dresses and special editions of Disney’s Rapunzel, Aurora and Belle with a dark pink, dark blue and dark purple colour scheme. So yeah, I’m a mini-collector. I’m only allowed to get special looking ones that don’t clash with my colour themes in my bedroom. Don’t have lots of space anymore, since I moved out.
Anyway I’m back and looking forward to post again. I’m not going back to Arena. I’m from England.
