Hi!
You guys can call me M! I’m pretty new to the Pony Scene as far as collecting goes. They were some of my favorite toys when I was younger.

In my adult years I’d pass them in the stores trying hard to walk past them and not look for fear of being judged for liking “the cringe brony toys”. Desperately I just wanted them. I like horses. I like colors. I like cute. I like magic. MLP has ALL of that.
Slowly, so slowly, I started to watch the shows, dip my toes into the proverbial water of Ponyville.
And then- I saw a restoration video of a pony. And I thought… oh how neat. She’s so clean now. Maybe I buy one and try it out? Just for restoration purposes I assured myself. Just for customs I promised my roommate. I’d sell them for sure when I’m done, I’d say with a silver tongue. Now I have a pony room.
And can I just tell you all the amount of joy these little plastic ponies bring me? (And heartbreak when I miss a sale on one’s I wanted, ha.)

My roommates supportive and my gramma thinks they are cute and constantly hunts for them while out at garage sales. So I shouldn’t have felt shame liking something just because a few bad apples spoiled the publics view.

I’m excited to show off my customs and my growing pony collection!

My favorite ponies are the unicorns and any with celestial themed cutie marks.

I also collect video games and consoles, which is pretty easy when your 8-5 job is a regional manager for a retro gaming company (7 locations)! Um. My favorite color is pink? I also like jesters. I think they are neat.

Welcome to the MLPTP, M! I’m So glad that you got into collecting and important people aren’t thinking badly of it— and I Love that your gramma looks for ponies for you at garage sales!! I got many G1 ponies at garage sales starting back in 1996 when my best friend got a car and we both enjoyed searching for toys we’d had and other cool items. In fact, the main garage sales we went to were the ones in one of my Grandma’s large neighborhood! She loved to participate in the yearly event and I would help her and sell old toys (which I wish I hadn’t now buuuut too late now and I’m sure other kids enjoyed them!). I found Many Many ponies at garage sales, over the years, and when I found the MLPTP back in the early 2000s, I was able to do trading and selling to get my childhood ponies back! I also collected ponies that friends had back then and I remembered playing with them, as well I’m excited to see your customs and growing pony collection! I’ll keep a look out for your posts! Unicorns have always been a love of mine— I even had a nice unicorn ceramics and plushes collection shelf. One of my favorite ponies is unicorn G1 Glory, who I had as a child, and I think she was my second or third pony ever! I hope you enjoy the forum and I’ll see you around!
