How exactly does boiling a pony work?

Hi I am very new to pony collecting and I am getting a baby halfnote soon who's in extremely rough shape and may have cancer. I'm a little unsure tho as pictures from the seller were low quality, but anyway, I know that boiling can help it from spreading but I still have questions. Like how long am I supposed to keep her in there? Should I be worrying about colors leeching? Are beddy bye eye ponys even save to boil? (if not how do I help her?) This will also be helpful for future reference because I want to get into restoring bait lots </3 thank you :3

First you gotta salt the water. Then you gotta ask the pony if they're guilty of the heinous crimes they've commited, and who their cohorts are. If they confess, toss them in jail, if they refuse, show no mercy!

Serious answer: You can't prevent the spread of plastic breakdown by boiling, it's all to do with the plastic slowly breaking down. Its just age. If it's really unsightly, dyeing or painting will help cover it up.

You want the water hot but not boiling, and it's more for getting rid of mold, mildew, rust, and ick, straightening out squashed limbs, hair care, or dyeing.

Kay kay!!! Thank you!! Most of the sites I've been looking at n going off of are also like extremely outdated so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯!!! much appreciated

Make sure if you ever boil a pony you take off their heads and thoroughly let them dry, as having water inside can cause mold issues! I don’t think boiling actually helps pony cancer at all.

Here is what the Pony Preservation Project says about pony cancer!

Also you will want to be careful with water and her eyes, as there is metal in beddy bye eyes and water can cause rust! If she Does have rusty eyes, never fear because it can be cleaned! I like to take their heads off, get a little bowl with rust remover inside of it (white vinegar works great for this) and use a toothbrush to gently scrub her eyes until the rust is cleaned off. Gonna pull a gnarly image of one of my favorite rust restorations on a beddy bye eye as an example for you haha, the eyes are kinda Scary

Anyways, good luck with baby half note! She’s one of the cutest baby ponies and I hope you can restore her
