How to make a pony into a Twinkle Eye?

Hi pony folks! Just wondering if anyone has a definitive source and/or method that you use to make non-TEs into TEs? I know I've seen some beautiful TE customs on here before, but I couldnt find info about how to shop for eye gems or methods of installing the eyes via a forums search.

Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks!!

Check out this post, it’s not a tutorial but the pictures and text was helpful for me in understanding it myself. You can get cheap gems from the craft store that look perfect for twinkle eyes!
