I found this by accident today when I was looking into a document about shipping times during the holiday season. This is really helpful because, it lets you know what areas of our world are having postal delays, why and how long they are to be expected. I know many of us ship to family and friends internationally each year for Christmas and other things, so hopefully you will know which countries are having trouble and can just wait it out or plan ahead by sending earlier than you normally do to account for delays.

Oh the joys of this time of year right?

Jingle Bells
The PO Smells
Their robot smashed my box...
Oh what fun it is to wait
Will our boxes come too late!

da da da da da da da da da da da:snowman:

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas....
Boxes stacked everywhere....

Where is my mail?

Expecting it to arrive in 3024.

Oh my gosh that is so accurate. It took me three months to get one USA shipment once. I actually figured it was lost and complained and walaaaa three months later it decides to show up. I was so happy, but upset at the same time.

I'm waiting for a package to get to a friend in South Africa and it's been MONTHS. I'm so worried it may have been feed to crocodiles or something.

Why is mail such a big hassle?

I don't know but its a nightmare. I had a friend that lived in Madagascar and I think it took quite a while for her care package to get to her. My mother sent it. I don't think it took months though. There is a lot of global unrest. This does not help. Did you get any tracking on it? You can file a complaint with the USPS if you insured it. I have done that before and then mysteriously the package shows up and is delivered. I guess they don't want to pay for it lol. My over all experience with mail here and globally is the attitude of those doing the work. It just feels like there isn't much work ethic left and people just do or don't do whatever they want. They throw my boxes on my porch from the driveway side. I have actually yelled at them because its just wrong to do that to my stuff. I quit having stuff mailed to my house because they would leave it at the wrong house all of the time and I lost so much stuff that way. sad sad sad ...... I have actually had much better luck with Fed X ground. I have been using it a lot. Not only is it cheaper when you have an over sized box, but they hand things with care and insure it/dependable tracking. If I could use Fed X for all my mail I would.
